Airsoft Guns and What They Do

There are many people in the world that enjoy gunplay. However, with the dangers of using real firearms there is little capacity to perform mock warfare scenarios outside of extremely controlled situations in the civilian world. The various military and police forces of the world can do this but most normal citizens would face the possibility of injury or death not to mention the fines from firing off live weapons at each other.

Airsoft guns have been around for many years and have come to be one of the favorite tools of the weekend warrior. They come in many varieties such as pistols, rifles, shotguns, and full machine gun styles. There are many companies that manufacture them as well such as Classic Army, Action, and Jing Gong or JG.

Eye protection should always be used when firing such weapons, and if metal shot is used then thick clothing or even tactical armor should be worn. The latter instance is especially true if someone chooses to wield an airsoft shotgun or full automatic weapon.

The pistols are generally single shot plastic BB's. There are metal varieties and pellets as well which can be used but many people use the plastic shot due to the lessened chance of injury. The rifles are also single shot but they have much greater force and can hit a target at a farther range. These airsoft weapons are typically used in war campaigns as sniper activity. Airsoft shotguns generally are single shot weapons that fire off three B's at a time. At close range this can hurt quite a bit, especially if using metal shot.

There are two kinds of automatic airsoft machine gun. There is the spring loaded version that performs exactly as stated. The rounds are fire off in very quick bursts via a spring mechanism. This usually requires some kind of gas canister attachment that needs to be replaced on occasion. The other version is the AER, or automatic electronic rifles. These use a motor to automatically recharge the compressed air to power the airsoft weapon. They require rechargeable batteries.

Airsoft Guns Vs Paintball Guns

It is safe to say that almost everyone knows that paint ball guns shoot paint balls, while airsoft rifles shoot plastic airsoft BBs. But the biggest differences between the 2 different types of guns, is what is inside of them. Each gun has its strong points and its weak points.

The way that paint ball guns fire is pretty basic; they all use either compressed (regular) air, or compressed C02. Most of the newer paintball guns use C02 rather than normal air (because it is more efficient). The way that the electric airsoft rifles (for example the airsoft AK-47) work is much more advanced. Electric airsoft guns actually have an electric motor inside of them, which powers a series of gears.

Electric airsoft guns have a battery powered motor that turns a series of gears, which pulls back (and cocks) a powerful spring. The spring propels the plastic airsoft BB when it releases (there is a plunger the end of the spring, which compresses the air almost instantly). This whole process is done at a very rapid rate with AEG airsoft guns, such as the airsoft M249 machine gun and the airsoft ak-47 assault rifle.

Also, there are a couple other types of airsoft guns, most notably the airsoft sniper rifles, which are single shot, manually cocked airsoft guns. These types of airsoft rifles are slightly similar to the automatic electric airsoft guns, but are single shot guns that need to be cocked for every shot. Also, they have no gears inside. While airsoft sniper rifles may be less exciting to fire than an electric airsoft M249 SAW machine gun, they do have a very high velocity, and are very accurate.

Basically all of the paint ball guns work the same way. They are much more basic than airsoft guns, and simply fire by using compressed air or C02. They don't need to be cocked, and no battery (or gear box) is required to fire them. However, you will need to keep refilling their air tank in order to shoot them. Almost every paintball gun in existence is semi-automatic, which makes them a bit less exciting to shoot than the automatic electric airsoft guns.

Paintball and airsoft matches both have the same set of rules, and are played in the same manner. Keep in mind that it is easier to hit your opponents with an automatic electric airsoft gun, than it is with a single shot paint ball gun. But other than that, there really isnt much difference, other than paintball guns leave a visible mark when you hit your target, and airsoft guns obviously don't, since they shoot plastic BBs).

Since airsoft rifles and the paint ball rifles both shoot at similar velocities, they also both shoot about the same distance. Airsoft and paint ball can be played in doors or outdoors, and the strategies and tactics are the same for each. Even the battlefields for airsoft and paintball are the same, and feature the same tactical structures, such as buildings, towers, trenches, and so on.

So what does it boil down to? Well, if you like the idea of firing off 14+ shots per second at your foes, then I would highly recommend that you give airsoft a try. But if you like the thought of leaving a nice big (and obvious) spot of paint on your opponent, then it sounds like paintball is the game for you. However, paintballs are very expensive compared to plastic airsoft BBs, so that is another factor to take into consideration as well.

This article was written by Matthew Betourney, who has been an airsoft/paintball expert for a long time now. He runs his own website, which features many high end airsoft guns, such as the popular airsoft AK-47 rifles, and even the powerful airsoft M249 machine guns.

Airsoft Guns for Fun Air Soft Games

Airsoft Gun and Air Soft Guns for Your Soft Air Gun Games

When it comes to an Airsoft Gun, nothing else can compare to its excitement factor. Users can get out on the field and discover the fun of re-enacting battles or just letting off some steam with friends. The right Airsoft Guns make all of the difference, too. No one wants to have the worst weapon in the group, and inexperienced players need a safe place to go to find quality products. Shopping with online websites can be that place if they are on the hunt for the ideal Air Soft Guns.

Affordable Airsoft Gun Perfection

Ideally, a Gun Airsoft shouldn't be too difficult to find, but that's not always the case. Without the Internet, many people would be facing extremely limited choices when it comes to the types of weapons, including the ever popular AEG Airsoft Gun. If someone only has one or two options, they are unlikely to find exactly what they want. Now, they can turn to online websites to find huge selections of these weapons at their fingertips.

Going with Quality Guns Airsoft

These weapons are one of the best choices for entertainment and fun. They may look and feel like real guns, but they emit only BBs so they are safe for users of most ages, except for the very young. Of course, those BBs do come tearing out of the barrel so they can definitely sting upon impact and should always be used carefully. But the reality is a Spring Airsoft Gun can provide hours of safe fun for the whole family.

Finding the Right Airsoft Rifle

Which of the weapons is the right one to purchase? That's a question people ask daily. One of the best answers, at least for the experienced player, is the Airsoft Sniper Rifle. This weapon packs a lot of power but should never be taken for granted. On the field, players can use it to take out enemies from a distance while hiding in a secure location. Of course, if they are detected, then they lose their advantage. The best thing is that these rifles come in a number of different styles to match the needs of any seasoned player.

Discounted Airsoft Pistol Heat

Experienced players will say that Airsoft Pistols might not make the best primary weapon in the game, but they no one should get on the field without one for back-up purposes. At close range or if the primary weapon runs out of ammo, then an Airsoft Spring Pistol can still keep the player from losing to the "enemy." Players can find a large selection of these pistols at a few online sites.

Popular Electric Airsoft Guns Advantages

The most common weapon on the playing field is going to be the Airsoft Electric Gun for several reasons. First, the gun can fire BBs as long as the player is holding down the trigger. That can make for some decisive game play, especially in tight moments. The Electric Airsoft Rifle can also switch to semi-automatic mode for slower, more precise firing if that's what the player needs.

The Fun of Inexpensive Soft Air Guns

No matter what happens on the field, players need to have a good time with their Air Soft Guns. These weapons can literally come in any size and shape the Airsoft Gun a person wants so they can be whoever they want to be on the field. It's definitely a lot less messy to shoot Soft Air Guns than paintball.

When customers are in the market for a low-priced but high quality Airsoft Gun, a few online shoppes offers exactly what they need.

Airsoft Guns and Rifles - How to Be a Super Sniper

There are many different types of airsoft guns but there is hardly one which can attract the players like snipers do. Although many people are big fans of snipers, there are not many of them who have the necessary skills to be called a "Super Sniper".

In order to be a Super Sniper, the first thing that you have to do is to get yourself the right equipments. The right sniper rifle is necessary so that you could be the Super Sniper.

You can get yourself a Super 9 Bolt Action Airsoft sniper rifle since this is one of the most recommended sniper rifles. This sniper rifle is manufactured by UHC. UHC is a company which has the reputation of being one of the spring guns premier manufacturers and then, one of the very important equipment for the Super Sniper is the rifle scope.

A smart sniper should always keep his equipments in great conditions in order to have an advantage over his enemies, just like what real soldiers do. Your rifle would not be able to shoot accurately and its overall performance will be affected if it is soiled and dirty.

In order to be a great Sniper, you should also master the art of military camouflage. A sniper needs appropriate clothing to ensure his success so that he would not be easily detected by the opposing teams.

You should not also make the mistake of running out of ammunition if you aspire to be the Super Sniper. Although this may sound like a small mistake, this is a common unfortunate accident because the length of many airsoft skirmishes is underestimated. You may actually meet your demise when you are trying to retrieve more pellets if this is done at an inappropriate time. A Super Sniper always has a lot of ammunition with him.

Thank you for reading the article above. For more information on how to be the Super Sniper, visit this website at Airsoft Pistols.

Airsoft on a Budget

While the airsoft guns often look expensive, getting the right gear as an airsoft beginner doesn't have to burn a hole in your pocket. The following is a quick starter guide that will help you choose the right equipment while sticking to a budget.

Airsoft Guns: Airsoft guns are powered by one of three sources: Spring-loaded (normally called "spring guns" or "springers"), gas (most commonly CO2, red or green gas) or gearboxes (also known as AEGs or Automatic Electric Guns). Spring weapons are usually less expensive, easy to operate and include a variety of rifles, airsoft shotguns and pistols. If you are considering a sniper role, there are a number of inexpensive spring powered sniper rifles to choose from. (These start as low as $30.) If you just want a simple weapon for a casual use, a spring pistol (around $20) or a shotgun ($30-$50) is also a great place to start.

BBs: The type of airsoft gun BBs you need will depend on your choice of gun. It is worth emphasizing that using cheap, low-grade BBs will cause damage to your gun and can void your gun's warranty. It's best to purchase high quality BBs from an airsoft specialty retailer. Quality BBs start at around $5 for a 1,000-2,000rd bottle. I personally recommend GoldenBall ProSlick BBs. These ultra seamless competition grade airsoft bbs provide a 40% improvement (on average) in BB spherical consistency and density in comparison to other BBs on the market. Most people who use GoldenBall once become hooked.

Safety Goggles: If you plan to participate in any sort of airsoft skirmish, a pair of airsoft goggles is a must. Look for fully-sealed, impact resistant goggles specifically designed for airsoft play. You should only purchase goggles from a reputable dealer to ensure that they are built (and tested) to withstand standard BB hits between 250-450 FPS. Goggle prices will vary from $10-$30. You can buy more professional gear at higher prices, but for beginners, standard airsoft goggles are perfectly fine.

Airsoft Pistols and Air Soft Games

Best Airsoft Pistols and Pistol Air Soft

Entering the airsoft gun hobby can be rewarding but is not always easy because of the variety of options you can choose from. Not only do you have to worry about choosing airsoft rifles that are well manufactured but you also need to consider which specific types of guns you want to work with. Maybe you already know whether you want airsoft pistols or machine guns but learning a bit more about your choices will ensure that you choose the best airsoft guns for your needs and your experience level.

Shotguns & Handguns

With airsoftguns, you'll also find some other options. Handguns, such as airsoft pistols, are frequently purchased by beginners because they are a good choice for learning how to properly and accurately handle and fire one of these weapons. They can also be good sidearm weapons meaning they can serve as a backup if you're playing a match and run out of ammunition. Most of the shot guns are not going to be used in matches but there are some that are capable of firing off multiple rounds quickly but overall these would be better choices for target practice. Most airsoft enthusiasts would suggest pistols over both shotguns and revolvers that rarely perform as well.

Air Soft Rifle Options

Two types of rifles are commonly available in the airsoft arena. Assault rifles are one choice. These are one of the most popular types of guns in the airsoft family, possibly because people love the idea of shooting off an M-16. These weapons are capable of doing auto fire that makes it an ideal choice for a few airsoft matches. Another option is a sniper rifle. These can be great choices if you're already part of a team and that team wants a competitive advantage. Not everyone enjoys using a sniper rifle but it can make a great secondary choice.

Carbines and SMGs

The carbine is an interest choice because it's basically just a smaller version of standard airsoft rifles, except that it uses the same ammunition as a submachine gun (SMG). Among airsoft players, the SMGs seem to have some advantages. They may not pack the biggest payload or the most power but they can be great choices because they are easy to handle and don't hamper your movements the way larger automatic weapons, such as the machine gun, might.

Deciding on the Right Weapon

Despite all of the pros and cons, the only person who can really determine the best airsoft guns is you. And that decision should be based on many factors, including your experience level and your intended purpose with the weapon. In some cases, the type of weapon may not matter as much as whether or not you're choosing an automatic or semi-automatic variety. At the end of the day, you have to make the decision about the best airsoft guns for your needs and that requires some research and careful consideration. After all, you don't want to go home with airsoft pistols only to find out you'd have been better off with an M-16.

Airsoft SWAT - Great Tactics

Most airsoft players have no idea how important stealth is when they return from airsoft war mission. Therefore, here is a guide on how to play smart SWAT in airsoft. Airsoft games are very aggressive. If you are playing the role of a sniper, you should take your best shot when your opponents return to their home base. Of course, you would not want to get shot when you return home, but you would want to shoot your enemies when they return to their home base.

Here are some tips and tricks for you.

-Get yourself a powerful airsoft suit set. Although it needs some time to make but you will like it.

-You should always be careful when walking in the field. If possible, do not step on dry leaves or twigs which may make noise. Use large rocks or packed dirt instead.

-Have extra magazines in hand and get a holster for your pistol.

-You can lay on your belly under a bush or with lots of leaves or crouch on leaved low hanging branch, and then poke your gun out of the bush.

-Wear gloves for protection against knuckle-shots.

-A spotter helps spotting possible targets and helps you in firefight.

-Understand the enemy's tactics and this will be helpful for you to lean about ways to counter them. Read more about airsoft sniping tactics and apply it in the real world. You may find that you learn more from an enemy than a friend.

-Observe, calculate and shoot.

-You need a good cover and escape route so that you would not get spotted or caught.

Airsoft Guns Have Been Created For Recreational Purposes

In the training phase, you need an ordinary airsoft gun to get used to this sort of sport so that you understand the different rules and uses of this gun and develop your acumen for the future. This is the phase of learning the technicalities of the gun and the tactics that are used in this particular sport. Once you get properly acquainted with the technicalities of the sport, you can take up more improved versions of the airsoft gun and participate in a competition to do better.

Competitions require the advanced type of guns which are very expensive and a fresher will never be able to handle those sophisticated replica guns if he is not well conversant with the technicalities of the equipment. Hence, the fresh candidate should give proper time to learn the peculiarities of the game and practice with an ordinary replica gun so that he becomes well versed with the use of the devise and enjoys the game. You can obtain an ordinary gun from the next departmental store nearby your house at a cheap price.

The spring-powered models are for single shot operation which requires manual power to use the spring to launch a pellet. You need to cock a spring gun before every shot that you have seen in the original rifle that works with bolts and the slide for pistols. They are low-powered guns and are cheaper in price and suited for the beginner to start learning the sport.

This kind has advantages in extremely cold weather or in water where electric powered or battery powered guns do not provide efficient service. They are easily available at the departmental store in your locality and the price is reasonable for new comers to acquire one for training.

Automatic electric guns or AEGs are run by rechargeable batteries to power electric motors for working on piston or spring to launch pellets. This automatic nature of work has made this gun very popular among users. Japan has developed this gun in an efficient manner and the leading company is Tokyo Marui is the pioneer manufacturer of this variety holding a major portion of the market. Additional modification on the gun with metal body and reinforced plastic has turned it into real looking guns to gain further popularity.

The latest type is the hybrid airsoft guns. This is a development over the AEG and is fitted with shell casings with red caps. With the firing of every pellet, the shell casing ejects and the cap provides real sound and smoke making it further realistic. There has been another inclusion in the family which is known as low powered electric gun.

The classic airsoft guns resemble older type of guns and are gas powered. They cost a little bit more than the usual AEG and are generally fitted with long range barrel. All the guns bear red dot sights for short range and telescopic sights for long range fire. Magazines look like the real ones with metal stamped or plastic coated materials. Magazines are of three types' standard, low-capacity and high-capacity.

The performance of the airsoft guns vary in velocities depending upon the low-end pistol to a high-end customized sniper rifle. Heavier pelts are preferred for better accuracy with less velocity whereas the lighter pellets move faster with less accuracy. They are chosen for the pellet speed and reliability.

Airsoft Guns - Handguns

The best airsoft gear you can invest on is definitely handguns. Among other available gears such as rifles and submachine airsoft guns, handgun is the most flexible one. Most airsoft gun players I know carry at least one handgun with them at all times. Even when you use assault rifles, handguns can be quite handy from time to time.

The best thing about airsoft handguns is that you can easily find affordable Gas Blow-Back (GBB) models at your favorite online stockist. GBB airsoft handguns offer a realistic experience; it is probably as realistic as you can get to real guns. Plus, you can also find several high-quality items offering full-metal slide and realistic body with complete marking. You can never tell the difference between the real gun and its airsoft counterpart unless you take a look at the magazines to compare the two.

There are also Non-GBB gas-powered handguns as well as AEG and spring models. You can always find the right handgun to suit your budget and needs easily; simply contact your favorite retailer for more information. Since getting one is very easy and affordable, handguns became must-have gears in the world of airsoft gun game.

There are several occasion when you can really use handguns to help you win the battle you are in. If your assault rifle malfunction or runs out of bullets, for instance, you can simply pull out the handgun and continue with no problem at all. Snipers love handguns because they can cope with close-quarter combats without having to rely on long-ranged sniper rifles.

Handguns can also be used on its own. I've seen a fellow airsoft gun player use nothing but a couple of handguns, while another one choose to have six handguns with him whenever he played. Without the bulky rifles, these handgun-only players can actually move undetected and penetrate the opposing team's base quickly. Add a couple of silencers to the handguns, and you can be completely undetected; there is nothing more enjoyable than being able to do several stealth hits and still remains undetected. As you can see, handguns can be very useful indeed.

Airsoft BB's - Choosing the Best Airsoft BB's For Your Airsoft Gun

You have a great Airsoft gun and you want it to perform exceptionally well, but it seems as though it just won't cooperate. You have tried everything from optimizing the barrel, lubing all of the moving parts and adjusting the hop up feature. You are possibly overlooking one of the most important components to flawless shooting.

The ammunition that you shoot through your gun is a vital part as to how well your gun actually performs. Standard bb's are cheaper and fly with a certain degree of accuracy, but this kind of ammunition will not get you the results that you are looking for.

Premium ground or precision ground bb's are the ultimate in ammunition and accuracy. Competition grade bb's are also exceptional. This type of ammuntion will cost you a little more, but the payoff will be powerful. Velocity will increase and the accuracy will dramatically improve.

Enthusiasts that use Airsoft sniper rifles have long known the importance of having the very best ammunition loaded in their guns. Shooting at long distances mandated that the ammo needed to be fast and accurate, which is why any sniper will be using precision or competition grade bb's.

Any Airsoft gun will benefit from this type of bb, not just the sniper rifle. You will find that your pistol will shoot at a much greater velocity and at a much improved accuracy. And Airsoft rifles will also have improved accuracy and distance while using the competition grade and precision ground ammunition. To get the very best out of your Airsoft guns, then definitely consider the ultimate in Airsoft bb's.

All You May Want to Know About Cheap Airsoft Guns

Despite the Airsoft game having been around for the last few years and it being a very enjoyable pastime activity, some people have never been part of it. This may be attributed to the fact that they assume it is a very expensive game in terms of the cost of the guns and ammunition. Truth be told, the market actually has a good variety of cheap that will suffice for a fantastic session of Airsoft game play. Of course there are other types of which are quite expensive but these are the sort used by the deep enthusiasts of the game and they cater for extended durations of game play.

The variety of the cheap can be categorized based on the means of firing the ammunition and here we have the electric, spring and gas types. The spring-loaded guns need to be cocked every other time you fire ammunition. It is for this reason that they are not very popular as the game normally requires fast recurrent shooting - unless every participant is using the same variety of guns.

The electric type are very popular as you do not need to cock them after every shot you take and more so because they propel the ammunition at the highest speed compared to the other versions. Electric Airsoft guns come with rechargeable batteries. The Airsoft replica of the popular AK47 assault rifle is normally found in this electric form.

The gas is carbon dioxide or green gas propelled. They are also preferred over the spring-loaded types as they have a semi automatic feel. They however require recharging of the gas cartridges after a few minutes of discharging ammunition.

Based on these three categories we can have pistols, shotguns, conventional and sniper rifles, and machine guns.

After choosing their preferred firing means and type/s of gun customers can start prowling the market in search of the cheap that appeal to them. By virtue of shopping online shoppers can now obtain cheap courtesy of the massive discounts that internet stores are popular for. There are that retail for under fifty dollars while the sophisticated ones will go for around five hundred bucks. Despite the wide range in prices the cheaper guns cannot be dismissed as being of poor quality; it is just that they have a simpler firing mechanism or just in the same way that a conventional sniper rifle cannot have the same price tag as a normal day to day pistol. The point however is to always source the cheap from reputable stores so as not to compromise on the quality.

Airsoft Vs Paintball - Which is Better?

There are pros and cons to both airsoft and paintball. I will list them out and let you decide which is better.

Let's start with airsoft:

Pros

Cheaper to play

Cleaner

Less painful

More play options

Cons

Judged on the honesty system

BBs are not all biodegradable

Not as popular

Now the pros and cons of paintball.

Pros

The paint shows were the person was hit

More popular

Many accessories and upgrades available

More realistic

Cons

Expensive

Painful

Messy

Airsoft is generally cheaper to play than paintball because the ammo is much cheaper than paintballs. Quality paintball guns can cost hundreds more than airsoft guns, but they are about the same price for low to mid level guns. There is more safety gear required for paintball.

Paintball is a messy game. Paint ends up everywhere. It should wash out of clothing and wash away when it rains, but depending on the surface it may not wash out. The only mess airsoft makes is the ammo its self. There are biodegradable BBs that will dissolve in about 4 months, but many people choose the less expensive plastic BBs.

Paintball is much more popular than airsoft. There are teams virtually everywhere and many tournaments all over the country. Airsoft has teams and tournaments as well, but it is not as big as paintball. One of the reasons for that is that when you get hit with a paintball, everyone knows because they can see it. When you get hit with an airsoft BB, you are probably the only person that knows because there is no mark. The person firing may not even know with certainty that they hit you. Because of this, there is more cheating involved with airsoft than with paintball.

Both sides have many different scenarios like capture the flag, war reenactments, attacking a village, etc. Those who have played both airsoft and paintball prefer scenario paintball over scenario airsoft because of the proof of hit and many players like the pain from a paintball gun more than airsoft. That sounds masochistic, but it makes the game more life like. If you know it is going to hurt and you will probably have a welt, you will most likely play better and be more careful. With airsoft it can still hurt, but not as bad as a paintball.

As far as which is better, it all depends on what experience you want to have. If you want to keep it clean and not spend a lot of money, then airsoft is better. If you want the play to be more real and you have the money to spend, then paintball might be what you are looking for. Either way, they are both a whole lot of fun and if you have not tried either of them yet I highly recommend you do. The best way to decide which is better is to do them both.

Airsoft Guns - How to Choose the Best Airsoft Gun

To say the least, airsoft guns come in a very wide variety. Airsoft guns can be purchased anywhere from $15 to over $500 and the quality more or less depends on the price. The lower-end guns can seem more like toys while the higher-end ones can be very functional, very realistic, and quite effective when playing with others.

The three primary types of airsoft guns are spring-loaded, electric, and gas blowback. Spring-loaded guns are the most inexpensive (typically $20-$60) but they are mostly used only for target practice or for the aesthetics of the model gun. After that, there are electric guns which come in low-powered, medium-powered, electric blowback, and automatic electric. Automatic electric guns (AEGs) are the most reliable and powerful but they are also more expensive than the others. Finally, gas blowback guns work very well but are the most expensive, and where electric guns only have to have their batteries replaced, gas guns obviously require gas to be replaced.

After that, there is the type of gun itself. Airsoftguns come in all the forms that real firearms are available in. Semi- and fully-automatic pistols, rifles, carbines, submachine guns, and sniper rifles are all available in airsoft form. Depending on the model, brand, and cost of the gun, accuracy, muzzle velocity, rate of fire, and overall reliability vary. As expected, smaller guns have smaller clips and shorter-barreled guns are less accurate than longer-barreled ones. As far as aesthetics goes, some airsoft guns will be painted in the colors that they would normally be seen in if they were real firearms but others come in clear plastic. All airsoft guns must be painted orange at the tip of the barrel for legal reasons (so that they are not mistaken for actual firearms)- so make sure that if you modify your gun yourself, you don't repaint the tip some other color.

As far as game play goes, it is important to use a weapon that is fitted to the type of activity you are involved in. For target practice and general shooting, a spring-loaded gun will suffice but when playing with others, it is necessary to have a better gun. Because of how many different types of airsoft guns in the market, it can be intimidating trying to find a specific one worth spending money on. First, look for the type of gun that you want. Pistols are good to start with because they are simple and less expensive than other types. Look for a gun with a good clip size and a muzzle velocity of over 250 feet per second. If you want a fast gun, make sure the clip is large (at least 200 BBs) or you'll end up spending a lot of time reloading.

In trying to pick an optimal airsoft gun, it is important to do a little research and look at reviews about what people have said about specific models of guns. Due to the large amount of brands, price ranges, and models available, this is the only way to ensure that you get the most out of your money.

If you are even a little bit serious about airsoft gun, then you should see the airsoft minigun, people call it the mother of all airsoftgun.

Don't forget to check one of the best minigun available in the market, is the echo 1 airsoft gun.

Airsoft Battle Days: A Checklist

Part of what makes airsoft guns so popular is their authenticity and preparation for airsoft skirmishes is just as realistic. Getting ready for an airsoft skirmish is exciting, nerve-wracking and strategic - and we want to make sure you don't miss a beat before heading out to the battle field. Here's a quick checklist to double (or triple) check before each airsoft battle.

Airsoft gun(s)

It's pretty obvious, but you don't want to forget your airsoft gun on a battle day. Many airsoft fanatics like to clean their gun the night before or morning of, an airsoft skirmish so they can ensure its functionality; if your gun has any kinks, you want to find out before you're on the battlefield with limited supplies and options. If you have one, stow away your airsoft gun in an airsoft gun bag for safe and easy transport. The airsoft bags are big enough to fit your other gear as well as your gun, so if you pack it all in there, you only have to grab one bag as you walk out the door to the skirmish.

Airsoft ammo

Next to your airsoft gun, bringing along ample airsoft ammo is crucial to your ability to outlast on the battlefield. Eject your magazine and load it up pre-skirmish with quality airsoft bbs. Make sure that you choose quality airsoft ammo that won't jam up your airsoft gun or pistol during game play. Even if you don't have a high capacity magazine, as long as you bring extra bbs you can outlast the competition. Toss a bag of extra ammunition into your airsoft gun bag and you'll be ready to engage without worrying about running out of airsoft bbs.

Airsoft safety goggles & face protection

Just like real the deal, in a milsim game like airsoft, safety and protective gear is vital. The small, dense airsoft bbs are a huge safety concern; therefore, make sure you have impact resistant airsoft goggles. Another recommendation for safety is to protect yourself with a mesh full-face mask.

Ghillies or other camouflaged gear/attire

Talk with your team to discuss a uniform to wear on battle day. Typically airsoft players will individually equip themselves in camouflaged gear to match the battlefield. Be sure to think about the area where you'll be playing airsoft: is it more green-hued like a forest or woods or is it more neutral like open plains or a desert? Wear gear that reflects the environment in which you'll play. If you have a particularly competitive or intense skirmish, be sure to think about a head-to-toe tactical ghillie suit.

Random supplies to fix guns and parts

Come prepared for your skirmish with tools to fix a simple gun error: electric tape, oil, cleaning patches, multi-head screwdriver and a rod to fix ammo jams. Don't allow for surprises on the field and over-plan for problems you may encounter.

Nourishment

Skirmishes will get your heart rate up, so avoid sugar crashes or low energy when you're playing on the field by packing granola bars, trail mix, water bottles and electrolyte-packed drinks. Bring more nourishment than you think you'll need in case a fellow team member is running low.

Review strategy

What kind of airsoft role do you have in skirmishes? Review milsim strategy with fellow airsoft enthusiasts before a big game and talk tactics. If you know the opposing players, your team can discuss their strengths and weakness and possible areas for domination.

Additional supplies

Depending on your gun and your type of game-play, you may need to toss a few extra supplies into your airsoft gun bag. If you plan on battling with an airsoft electric gun, bring an extra battery or two. If you're playing the sniper role, think about bringing binoculars or an airsoft rifle with a scope for a higher shooting range. You may want to bring along some green gas if you have a gas or CO2 gun. Once again, you can never be too prepared for an airsoft battle.

If you have a special pre-airsoft skirmish ritual, make sure to add that to this checklist. Head out early to the battle, get a map of the territory to learn the battlefield (if you can) and talk strategy with your team. You are now fully equipped to dominate in an airsoft skirmish.

Airsoft Rifles For Fun Rifle Airsoft Games

Airsoft Rifles For Fun Rifle Air soft Games

One of the best parts of playing rifle airsoft games is that players get to recreate the experience of playing first person shooter video games. Not only are some of the Airsoft Rifles exact or close replicas of the same types of weapons used in those games, but even many of the match types that are available are the same. Even if you've never enjoyed a casual first person shooter game, you'll find plenty of reasons to enjoy airsoft rifle shooting in several of the match types described below.

Zombie

If you've wanted to recreate the pandemonium of zombie movies like Night of the Living Dead or first person zombie apocalypse shooters like Left for Dead, then this might be the best form of match for you. With this type of match, a couple of team members are going to act like zombies. They can have weapons or not. That's one of the options you can consider. When the zombies either touch or shoot the other person, they become a zombie and have to switch teams. Whenever all of the zombie or human players have been "eliminated," the match is over and the last team standing is considered the winners.

Military Re-enactment

If your favorite first person shooter video game is "Call of Duty", you'll probably find military simulation matches quite enjoyable. Basically, the idea of these rifle airsoft shooting matches is to recreate battles from history. The team divides into two groups based on the real life adversaries in the battle.

The realism incorporated into the match varies greatly. Some people are adamant about making the whole thing as believable as possible, including wearing military uniforms from the era and using only the types of air soft weapons that would have been used at the time. Other players just use the scenario as a way to have fun without worrying too much about the details. Either way, it can be a fun way to give your airsoft firearms some action.

Protect the President

One of the more popular UHC gun match options is the escort or protect the president mission. The person doesn't have to be the president, but he or she needs to be someone important who needs to be taken safely to a designated point on the field. That's easier said than done when most of the team is given the task of ensuring the target does not reach that point. Plus, the attacking side is normally given a head start so they can set up traps or hide along the path to that point.

Generally, the defending side has fewer people and may even have limited airsoft gun choices and ammunition. The target can either be armed with airsoft rifles or unarmed depending on how you want to play the game. Sometimes the target will prefer having a more active role in the fun. The attacking side can also have an advantage if they are allowed to use snipers.

With Airsoft Rifles and a little creativity, you can find tons of ways to have a good time in these matches. You have a lot more potential for fun and more flexibility to play how you want, then you ever will a video game.

Airsoft Spring Guns For Kids On A Budget

Throughout the years, airsoft has become a very popular sport for young and old alike. This is a game that simulates military situations. Instead of using live guns, they use composite replicas of the weapons that military and police organizations use. These guns fire small, round, plastic balls instead of live ammunition. These pellets are fired with the use of compressed gas, an electric gearbox or a spring. Because these games are quite realistic, people get quite a thrill from re-enacting these missions. It gives a good dose of adrenaline rush that keeps people coming back for more.

The AEG, Gas Pistols and Airsoft Spring Guns

Presently, Automatic Electric Guns or AEG's are commonly used during these games. This type of airsoft gun uses batteries to store electricity that is used to power a gear box. This gear box then causes the pellet to be expelled whenever the trigger is pulled. This feature also gives the user flexibility in choosing semi or full automatic mode of their guns. Gas pistols, which are powered by compressed gas, are usually used as side weapons during this game.

Airsoft spring guns, however, are not usually used in such games. This is because the airsoft spring gun uses energy stored in the spring whenever the user pulls on the cocking handle to enable the gun to be fired. With this energy, the 6mm plastic pellets can have a velocity of 400 feet per second and can reach a range of 30 meters. This means that the gun should be charged manually every time the gun is fired. Unlike the AEG, it cannot be set to semi-automatic or full automatic mode.

Three Types of Airsoft Spring Guns

There are three types of airsoft spring guns: airsoft spring guns, rifles, pistols and shotguns. Airsoft spring rifles include the M16 series, M14 series, the AK47 series and its variants and other sniper rifles modeled from weapons found all over the world. The pistols also come in varied models and countries of origin. These consist of automatics such as Colt .45, 9mm Berretta or a revolver such as the Colt Python. Shotguns are only available as airsoft spring guns.

A Cheap Gun For All Seasons

Although airsoft spring guns can be greatly overpowered by AEG's and gas pistols, they can be used in all types of adverse weather such as rain, snow, extreme heat or cold. Gas pistols malfunction during cold weathers. Exposing an AEG to the elements can also damage it.

Another great thing about airsoft spring guns is the price. Because most of these spring guns cost under $50, it can easily be afforded by anyone. Aside from buying a constant supply of BB pellets, there are no extra expenses to consider when buying a spring gun. It doesn't require canisters of compressed gas to function. Neither does it need battery replacements and upgrades.

As far as looks and feel are concerned it really takes a lot of exposure to spot the difference between the two. They are both made to scale like the real firearm and have the same metal and plastic components. So really there isn't much difference between them.

Airsoft Tactics to Improve Your Skills

The game of Airsoft seriously isn't just 'point and shoot.' Airsoft employs actual military methods and is known as 'MilSim' or 'Military Simulation'. A die tough Airsoft team fanatic learns these techniques and executes them effectively in the field and also the result is an intimidating team that everyone else would like to beat. Methods are basically typical sense solutions to distinct situations and has been perfected for over 3,000 years ever given that males had a taste of power. These tactics, once proven successful, might be accepted as 'tactical doctrine.' They are cornerstones on winning battles either actual or not.

It really is understandable that individuals often say that learning strategies in Airsoft is just not necessary because BB pellets have limited range. But even before the invention of the cannon, military tacticians like William the Conqueror or Alexander the Fantastic fought wars and won without having to use gun powder. These two great males used whatever weapon they had at that time and used them to their advantage. They both know that the array of their weapons just isn't essential but their experience and cunningness.

Yes! The weapons look cool and emptying a 300-round magazine is actually fun when pointed at friends who do the same thing. Still, if a cunning tactic was employed previous to even firing a single shot, the opponents will stand in awe previous to even knowing what hit them. Numerous battles have been lost due to lack of techniques. In fits of rage, soldiers charge down the enemy line and get slaughtered.

In techniques, it's quite essential to follow a commanding officer. His job would be to win the battle by making use of strategies. Positioning an Airsoft Sniper in a spot that's both hidden and strategic is already a tactic. Even hiding behind a tree and scanning for an enemy is form of methods. Learning how to master your Airsoft sniper rifle takes time and practice but will become a great advantage when you do.

Maybe the Japanese who invented Airsoft wanted to have fun taking down a soda can, but ever since other individuals saw the game as a safe method to train the military or the police, the use of tactics in Airsoft will instill discipline and camaraderie to participants whether with real bullets or pellets.

All these Airsoft tactic will help you out in the long run. Another skills that you can pick up to advance your Airsoft skills is learning how to make an Airsoft grenade, which is fairly simple if you have all the right items to make them. A great site to learn how to make them is at TopAirsoftSniperRifles.com!

Airsoft Rifles - For Kids Who Never Grew Up

Owning an airsoft rifle is the dream of every kid who just never really grew up. When we were kids we wanted the ultimate toy - a pellet gun that looked like what we saw in the movies. Airsoft rifles can fulfil that need - there's just something about them that turns grown men into kids all over again. Hundreds of thousands of airsoft owners all over the world can testify to this.

Airsoft rifles may look like toys to some people but when you pick one up you suddenly realize that they're anything but toys. They mimic the real thing so closely that most airsoft guns are now manufactured with an orange flash at the end of the gun barrel. Why? So that both police and army personnel can tell the difference between a real gun and an airsoft model!

Although airsoft rifles may look and feel somewhat like the real thing that's where the similarity ends. Airsoft guns are non-lethal because they only fire a 6mm plastic pellet. These are available in variety of weights as well as in glow-in-the-dark and paintball variants and are ideal for tin can or home target shooting.

The neat thing about airsoft rifles are that you can own just about any rifle or assault rifle you can imagine - from the old Thomson submachinegun to the far more modern H&K G36 special ops assault weapon. You can buy a standard sighted rifle, sniper rifle, shotgun, sawn off shotgun, assault pistol and also standard carbines. Heck you can even own the Marine M-41A assault rifle from the Alien (TM) movies - it's a modifier kit for an M4 airsoft rifle but having this option is still incredible and a real bonus for the airsoft fans who also love sci-fi.

Once you've picked the model you want you then need to choose what type of firing system the gun will have. Airsoft guns can be purchased in spring, gas and AEG (airsoft electric gun) variants with AEGs offering the highest firing rates and usually the highest pellet velocities. Certain spring powered airsoft rifles can outperform electric airsofts in single shot power however - so bear this in mind when you're buying your new gun. Spring powered are the cheapest, gas powered are next up from there and finally AEGs top the table in terms of cost (but also in terms of features and fun).

Words can't really express the feeling of excitement you feel when you get your first airsoft gun. There's hours of fun target and tin can shooting ahead of you. Have fun with your gun and stay safe!

Airsoft Ammunition: BB Weight

When it comes to airsoft gun performance, most people have a tendency to focus primarily on gun models, barrel FPS and gearbox type (ie. full metal versus plastic gear boxes). However, an airsoft's performance is only as good as the quality of ammunition it fires. There are many different options when it comes to choosing the type of ammunition to use in your airsoft gun. Airsoft BBs come in a variety of colors and include an assortment of features, but the single most important differentiating factor is BB weight.

Almost all gun BBs are 6mm in diameter, but this constancy ends when it comes to weight. Airsoft BBs start as light as.12 grams per BB and can go as heavy as.40+ grams per BB. As a general rule,.12 gram BBs should be used in spring pistols or lower end plastic airsoft pistols and rifles. It's recommended to avoid using these lighter and usually cheaper BB's in higher end airsoft pistols or rifles, because they can potentially damage the gearbox and may even void your airsoft's warranty. Not only will these BBs potentially damage you airsoft gun, but they may also greatly reduce your range and accuracy.

When it comes to using heavier airsoft BBs, it's really up to your personal preference. As a general rule, an airsoft gun that can shoot anywhere between 250 and 300 FPS is best served with.20 gram airsoft BBs. On the other hand, any airsoft gun capable of shooting in excess of 300 FPS may perform better with a BB weight that is slightly heavier than.20 grams.

In high end airsoft guns, heavier BBs may provide better accuracy at greater ranges, but reduced velocity. For example, if you're using an airsoft sniper rifle you may want to consider using an airsoft BB around.28 grams in weight. For standard field engagements you should stick with BBs that weigh anywhere between.23-.25 grams, because these BBs are well balanced in regards to speed, range and accuracy. However, if you anticipate that you might encounter significant close quarter combat,.20 gram airsoft BBs may work best due to their increased velocity.

As you can see, airsoft BB selection is more than just simply buying the cheapest BBs available. It's important that you consider your airsoft's capabilities and your designated team role when choosing the most appropriate type of ammunition for your airsoft gun.

Airsoft Weapons - A Safer Target Training Tool For Everyone

Do you love competitive combat games but, hate the pain of paintball? Then Airsoft Weapons may very well be for you. Airsoft weapons are safe, less painful during combat re-enactments or combat games as well as safer for local neighborhood target plunking in areas where many types of firearms are not allowed. There are various types of weapons available from simple air handguns and rifles to electric airguns, gas type air guns.

Parents can feel some degree of safety by allowing kids to play combat without the danger of the classic BB gunfights of the 1970's. When avoiding aiming for the head Airsoft are many times safer overall than many of the classic firing play weapons on the market today.

Training Officers can feel more secure in quality valid training than using non-firing weapons or actual weapons and live rounds increasing safety issues. Utilizing Airsoft weapons many being very similar to the actual weapons they are based upon with similar attachments, etc.

Many of these weapons are really excellent replicas of actual weapons for those in the military or law enforcement too make training more cost effective. The M-15 style weapons, 9mm style pistols and even sniper styled weapons are available for your needs to allow for realistic training without the excessive costs of bullet reloads, etc.

Airsoft Accuracy

What kinds of airsoft guns are the most accurate? Does more power mean more accuracy? I intend to answer these questions and more.

When you are in the field, battling for supremacy, an accurately shooting airsoft gun can make the difference! Spring pistols are good for beginners due to there low cost and ease of use. However, they are the most inaccurate airsoft guns available. They are low powered so they can't hold accuracy for very long. Green gas and Co2 pistols are much more accurate due to their high power. Although compressed gas pistols are more accurate than spring pistols they are still not as accurate as a rifle.

Airsoft rifles, in general, are more accurate because the barrel is longer. That is the rule. The longer the barrel, the straighter the gun will shoot. Another type of rifle is a shotgun. These come in green gas and spring powered options. These airsoft guns can be extremely powerful but not as accurate as a rifle. This is due to the wide shot pattern a shotgun makes. An airsoft shotgun can shoot up to 6 bb's at once. A shotgun is geared more for closer range and big targets.

Airsoft rifles come in a wide range of styles and powering methods. The most accurate rifles are the "sniper" rifles. The barrels are much longer than assault rifles. They are usually more powerful as well because they are long range weapons. Assault rifles are good for almost all ranges of shooting. AEG airsoft guns are usually the higher quality guns and the preferred style of an expert airsofter.

Amazing Airsoft - The Wonderful World of Airsoft Guns

If you looking for a pastime that combines excitement, skill and a sense of adventure, then airsoft guns may well be for you. As one of the country's fastest growing recreational sports, airsoft guns give you all the excitement of shooting a real gun without the expense, fuss or danger. You can use them for everything from target practice to war games. You have a wide range of options to choose from such as the spring airsoft gun and the electric airsoft gun along with airsoft rifles. Here's your guide this exciting activity.

First, let's look at exactly what airsoft guns are. Airsoft guns are models of actual firearms but fire plastic bullets or pellets (BBs) which are some 6-8 millimeters in circumference. They're made from plastic or metal or a combination of both. The great thing about these items is that they give you the experience of shooting real guns without the risk or expense. You can use them for target practice, shooting competitions or recreational shooting just like the real thing by with the confidence that you're in no danger.

Air soft guns were originally developed in Japan in the 1980s where there was a passion for guns but strict laws against their ownership. The solution was to develop a spring powered gun that was a replica of an existing weapon. Air soft guns later became popular in the United States and newer types of greater sophistication have since been developed using gas and electricity for propulsion. Here's a look at the different types of air soft gun.

The original spring air soft guns or 'springer' as they're known to aficionados are still in use and are now the entry level weapons of choice for both handguns and rifles. The springer is a single action weapon that fires a single BB before you need to manually re-cock it before the next shot. One great benefit is that they need no power source such as gas or electricity so they're cheaper to use and they won't run out of power.

The second generation of guns featured gas-powered mechanisms using propane, nitrogen or carbon dioxide. These types can be semi-automatic or fully automatic and they're lighter and more compact then the electric powered guns. Gas air soft guns are fine for target practice but not really suitable for games. They also work better in warmer climates.

AEGs (Automatic Electric Guns) are now the most popular airsoft weapons. They use rechargeable high-capacity rechargeable batteries for power. They come in both automatic and semi-automatic models so you can continuously fire without having to pull the slide, bolt, or other mechanism. This makes them more suitable for competition than spring airsoft guns, for example.

Among recent innovations is a Hybrid airsoft. These are highly realistic as they use encased ammunition so a metal casing will be ejected during each shot just like in the movies.

One of the major pleasures of airsoft guns is their realistic appearance. You can get them in a huge range of types. For example, there are shotguns with real pump action as well as replicas of hunting rifles. Some of the most popular models are replicas of military weapons. Nostalgia buffs will be delighted to find models weapons used in the Wild West and on the battlefields of yesteryear, while the more technically minded can acquire items such as sniper rifles used in today's conflicts around the globe.

If you've decided to investigate the world of airsoft guns, here are a few things you should bear in mind.

First, it's important to remember that airsoft-guns are not toys. Though they're perfectly safe when used responsibly, you need to keep them away from children.

Next, you need to choose the right type for your needs. It's best to buy a basic type to start to see if they are for you. If you spend some time on target practice and get hooked, then you can upgrade to a more sophisticated model.

To get the best deals, you can visit one of the reputable online vendors of airsoft-guns and browse their illustrated catalogues. Choose the model that appeals, place your order, and your item will be delivered by courier. Buying online is safe, simple and economical. Remember you have to be at least 18 years old and that it is not legal to own airsoft-guns in New York City (all 5 boroughs) and Michigan.

So if the idea of organizing your own war games appeals to you or you, or you just want some target practice or try your hand on a rifle range, check out airsoft-guns for the ultimate in thrills and realism.

Michiel Van Kets provides article services for Charles Bernardi who is an Airsoft gun retailer, enthusiast and owner of Air Soft King. Airsoft guns are typically replicas of real firearms, they come in a variety of shapes and sizes, choose from electric airsoft guns to spring airsoft guns and gas-powered green gas or CO2 airsoft guns. Some airsoft guns such as, revolvers, pistols, snipers or rifles come with an option of an adjustable trigger, power velocity, shockproof and multiple shots features.

Airsoft BB Guns - Choosing Between Spring and Electric Models

Airsoft BB guns are rapidly increasing in popularity around the world. Many clubs have been formed to bring enthusiasts together to enjoy their weapons. Activities in these clubs range from simple target shooting to all out urban combat games. Having the right gun for the activities you wish to participate in will maximize your airsoft experience.

Electric vs Spring airsoft guns

Electric Air guns: Electric airsoft BB guns are by far the most popular. this is due to the fact that ,many models operate with semi automatic and fully automatic capabilities. This not only adds to the realism but also makes these guns extremely fun to shoot.

Electric guns are available in a wide variety of price and performance ranges. High end models are constructed from metal and use metal gears to deliver high velocity and rapid rates of fire. While the lower end plastic models deliver lower performance but just as much fun.

The only limit an electric air gun has is the battery life, so always have spare batteries on hand if you want a full days fun!

Spring Guns: Spring guns have a wide range of models. These guns range from cheap $4 dollar pistols to high end very powerful sniper rifles that cost hundreds of dollars. Spring guns perform better then other models in cold weather and the high end models are extremely powerful and accurate. There only drawback is that they are single shot only. These guns are the best for target shooting competitions.

Gas Powered Guns: Gas Powered Airsoft Guns use compressed carbon dioxide, Freon or Green Gas as a propellant. The propellant gas is held in a tank or reservoir on the gun. Gas guns us a "Blow back" feature to chamber the next round as realistically as an actual gun. Because they have more moving parts and use gas as a propellant, this type of airsoft gun is more expensive to operate. They are preferred by serious Airsoft Gun Collectors.

Although there is only three main categories each type of gun has its own sub category, spring guns for example have sniper rifles and electric guns have numerous options like blow back models and hybrid guns. By shopping around and comparing the various models you can find exactly what you need!

Airsoft Upgrades

New to Airsoft?

Airsoft as a sport has been around since 1950s East Asia, specifically Japan where firearms were difficult or impossible to obtain due to local laws; sought a legal alternative for enjoying their passion. Airsoft is still today most popular in several Asian regions, such as Japan, China, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Macau, South Korea, and to a certain extent, the Philippines, and Indonesia. The vast majority of airsoft guns, accessories, and after market upgrade parts are also manufactured in these countries.

Airsoft participants organize meetings, either indoors or outdoors, at dedicated airsoft battlefields to play a variety of games ranging from short-term skirmishes, organized scenarios, military simulations, or historical reenactments. Combat situations on the battlefield often involve the use of common military tactics to achieve the objectives set in each game.

The guns used in a skirmish vary considerably, from SMG's (sub machine guns), assault rifles, sniper rifles and pistols. The most common type of gun found in a skirmish is an AEG or Auto-Electric-Gun, mainly due to high rate of fire and long charge time in the battery used. Airsoft guns are all too often confused with BB guns and this is something that cause damage to the reputation of the sport. A Bb Gun operate under spring, gas or pump and are capable of propelling a metal bearing at speeds approaching 1000 fps. These devices are used by some shooters as a practice weapon or to hunt fowl and small game. While an airsoft gun can operate under gas, spring or electric power and fire a 6mm plastic pellet at speeds around 300fps. The internet is obviously the primary source of information for airsoft enthusiasts and can sometimes contain inaccurate information for upgrading/downgrading guns and increasing the rate of fire of a gun.

Improve Rate of Fire & Feet Per Second of your Airsoft Gun

AirsoftPress have released a new e-book aimed at helping the average airsofter to increase the FPS and ROF of an average AEG. Put simply it is a guide on Airsoft Gun Optimization. To achieve ultra high FPS, you need to make sure the entire mechbox mechanism is optimized in such a way that the desired FPS can be produced without sacrificing ROF and battery life. High FPS performance must be achieved with practicality in mind - you should not need to trade off power with other performance factors, and the gears should not get striped too easily.

On the other hand, to achieve ultra high ROF you'll need to make sure the entire mechbox mechanism is optimized in such a way that piston movement is fast enough to produce the rate of fire desired. That means you need to use techniques to reduce the friction introduced due to fast movement, to ensure the spring can rebound fast enough after compression, and to reduce the overall workload of the gears and the motor.

The primary goal of this guide is to help you improve FPS and ROF in a cost effective way. Different mechbox modification techniques are covered. Additionally, the issues of air tightness and battery configuration which are outside of the mechbox but are still highly relevant to the overall airsoft AEG performance are also addressed. The goal of proper air sealing is to fill every gap along the air flow path to minimize air leakage and create an efficient environment for propelling BBs out of the barrel. We teach you how to maximize air seal at the two most critical areas along the air flow path, which are the cylinder set (from piston to air nozzle) and the Barrel / Hopup set. The correct voltage on which an AEG motor is required to operate is critical. Every motor model is unique. Different models have different operating characteristics. In general, a 5% decrease in voltage can often translate into a 10% decrease in motor torque. The goal of this section is to help you determine the correct type of battery pack to use for your AEG, as well as to teach you the corresponding charging techniques. Many Airsoft dealers are using the Airsoft publications as reference guides when repairing broken AEG's. The beauty of being able to repair or tweak your own Airsoft gun is that you save money on repair services and have the satisfaction of repairing your own gun.

Airsoft Pistols - The Advantages of Electric Airsoft Pistols Over Spring Airsoft Pistols

It is not hard to find yourself airsoft pistols because there are various choices out there for you to choose from. They are usually used by armed services and police activities for training purposes. There are also youngsters who use them for safety training or recreational purposes. If you can afford to spend more on airsoft pistols, you can get one which resembles the real thing. There are a lot of them which has almost the same weight as the real pistols and come will full metal assemblies.

There are people who prefer electric airsoft pistols over spring ones. The most common reasons are they are better built and capable of automatic fire. They run on a battery so you will want to have some spare batteries on hand just in case the battery dies out. The electric pistol is also more realistic and has an advantage over a spring one when you are in a competition. You do not need to cock the spring every time you want to fire, therefore, you can focus on shooting repeatedly on a target until you hit them especially when your opponent's teammates are nearby you.

Although spring airsoft pistols are cheaper in terms of price compared to the electric ones, spring ones are also less powerful. Electric pistols are capable of firing as far as 100-200 fps and this can be really useful when you are tracking down longer range bogies. They are also more accurate due to their higher velocity. Spring ones tend to have lower velocity and this causes the BB to fall too quickly and this affects their accuracy in a negative way.

If you are an airsoft newbie, you are recommended to get the spring one first. However, for serious airsoft pistols buyers, the electric one is what you should be getting because it is more value for money.

Thank you for taking your time to read this article. Here's a quick way to get interested to know more details on airsoft pistols? Or are you thinking to own one yourself? What are you waiting for? Airsoft AEG Upgrades

The internet makes it easy to buy the upgrade airsoft rifle parts for less, but it is important to understand that sometimes you will need to loop in a professional to get the job done right. If you dive into an upgrade on your own, you risk damaging the rifle and voiding your warranty. For best results, use a certified professional airsoft technician / shop. In most cases, you can have that professional show you how it's done. This will give you a better understanding of how the firearm works which will help you troubleshoot issues in the future.

Needless to say, there are a lot of upgrades to consider. For the sake of simplicity, I'll summarize a few of the most common upgrades for airsoft AEGs below. Once you identify the upgrades you are interested in, you can contact an authorized retailer for further information and advice. In many cases, one upgrade may require further upgrades in order to make sure the parts are compatible.

Hop Up. There are two parts to Hop Up that you may consider upgrading. Hop Up Bucking puts back spin on the bb. A quality bucking will improve your shot accuracy. Look for Bucking made in durable materials such as silicone, which will minimize deterioration. Another potential Hop Up upgrade is the chamber, which will also improve accuracy.

Barrel. Many airsoft enthusiasts prefer to upgrade to a longer, tighter barrel. In most instances, the tighter the barrel, the better, assuming you are using quality BBs as is strongly recommended by any qualified airsoft dealer.

Gears. There are three gears to consider: the sector, bevel and spur gears. Gears are both critical and expensive. Avoid sub-quality gears at all costs because they will break and lead to expensive gear box repairs. The type of gears you use depends on the other upgrades and I recommend speaking to a professional about your specific needs.

Bushings. Gears rotate on the Bushings. They also keep the gears in place and are thus critical in their own right. Broken Bushings lead to stripped gears. Bigger Bushings constructed in highly durable materials are generally better.

Piston. The piston is a flat-toothed gear that is maneuvered by the motor and spring. Because of the tremendous pressure on the piston, quality counts. Metal pistons are a common upgrade but in some firearms they may strip gears. I recommend discussing possible piston upgrades with a professional so that you can determine what will work best for you.

Spring. Upgrading your spring will increase the velocity of the piston. If you plan on upgrading your spring, you will need to make sure your internals are upgraded as well to avoid damaged gears and pistons.

Spring Guide. The spring guide does just what it says and prevents the spring from jumping into the gear case.

Cylinder. The cylinder compresses the air that will force the bullet down the barrel. A longer barrel requires a bigger cylinder, so these upgrades typically go hand-in-hand.

Cylinder Head. You can either silence your gun or improve the piece's air seal by upgrading your rifle's cylinder head.

Air Nozzle. This part pushes the bb into the Hop Up chamber while also sealing the airflow.

Motor. Too powerful a motor can decrease overall performance and negatively affect rate of fire, so speak to a professional before you commit to a motor upgrade purchase.

Battery. A higher voltage battery increases your rate of fire, but too high of a battery voltage may damage internal components. Again, I recommending speaking to a professional about what your gun can handle.

Scopes and optics. This external upgrade is certainly something you can install yourself. A quality scope will improve your accuracy, especially in a sniper-type role.

Airsoft Games - Gear Enhancements That Matter

The phenomenal rise in popularity of Airsoft games can be attributed to the fact that not only it is enjoyable, it also accords your body a full workout it needs and playing the game is also a great way to release built up tension. The amount of role playing each participant has to give also adds to the realism of the Airsoft games which makes it all the more thrilling. There are a variety of tasks, from being a recon to sniper, which can be played out by participants, and these roles are made easier by gear enhancements that you can get from any Airsoft store.

Some of these gear enhancements that you may find really useful are camelbak with hydration system backpacks, ghillie suits, camouflaged headwraps, tactical headsets, and turbofan ventilated military goggles. Although these enhancements do not guarantee a one hundred percent victory for your team, these will surely give your team some advantage during Airsoft games.

Camelbak With Hydration System Backpacks

This camouflaged backpack fits well in the contour of your back which allows you to make unhampered and smooth motions. Its hydration system allows you to quench your thirst without the trouble of unscrewing the cap just like what you would do with a water canteen.

Ghillie Suits and Rifle Cover

Usually seen worn by Special Forces, ghillie suits are best worn by snipers in some Airsoft games who have to stay stationary in one place. These types of gear enhancements makes it difficult for opposing teams to notice since it looks just like a clump of bushes.

Camouflaged Head-wraps

To break the contour of the outline of your head, you may want to wear camouflaged head-wraps. This accords you extra protection during reconnaissance mission where unnatural outlines are always watched by opposing teams.

Tactical Headsets

Without a doubt, two-way radio communication is one of the top three important things to have in any battle, whether it is just a war game simulation or an actual conflict. It is where real time intelligence data is passed on for further action by members of the team. This is why voice activated tactical headsets should always be part of the gear in Airsoft games.

Turbofan Ventilated Military Goggles

While it is true that ballistic goggles ensure the safety your eyes, it is also susceptible to fogging which may hamper your vision at any time. Substituting standard ballistic eyewear with turbofan ventilated military goggles can solve this problem. Its powerful fans immediately clear out the mist that forms on the surface of the goggle, making it unnecessary for you to take off your safety eyewear to manually wipe the mist out.

Having all or most of these gear enhancements would take your Airsoft gaming experience to another level of satisfaction. Though some of these gear enhancements may be a little bit pricey, they are certainly worth it.

All About Airsoft Gun Accessories - Part 2

If you play a lot of close quarters battle then you might want to consider adding a foregrip to your airsoft rifle. This will allow you to move the gun around easier and keep it more stable in smaller areas. Foregrips can be either collapsible or fixed. I prefer to have a collapsible one for transitioning between outdoor and CQB.

Another way to add stability to your airsoft gun is to add a bi-pod to it. Bi-pods are primarily used on airsoft sniper rifles. Snipers need to be able steady their gun as much as possible as they are shooting at a long distance. Snipers usually are seated or laying down while shooting as to stay low and well hidden from the enemy. Bi-pods can be adjustable in height and position. They can also fold up for transportation.

A tactical strap for you airsoft rifle is important to have if you carry multiple guns and grenades. You don't want to laying down your rifle to use your CO2 pistol do you? You need to be able to switch from the rifle to gun as fast as possible in case your rifle runs out of ammo and there is no time to reload. A sling is also nice for running around and moving a lot. Sling are available in nylon or leather mostly.

In addition to adding scopes, dot sights and lasers to your gun using a rail system, you can also add a grenade launcher. The most common is an M203 grenade launcher. These can mount on many assault rifles such as the M4 or M16. They take a green gas powered grenade that is loaded with 18 to 180 bb's. With just one trigger pull they all fire at once. With all of these airsoft gun accessories available, your sure to find the right gear for you.

Airsoft Machine Guns - A Look at the Echo 1 Model 249 PARA Airsoft Machine Gun

Utilizing airsoft machine guns in your battles in the field is a huge advantage for the team that has incorporated them into their weapons arsenal. These guns are able to shoot tremendous amounts of ammunition at the enemy and have a valuable place among their cousins, the airsoft rifle and the sniper rifle.

The Echo 1 Model 249 PARA airsoft machine weapon is made by Echo 1 USA Airsoft. It is a SAW or squad automatic weapon. This gun is a full metal construction weapon and has a detailed finish that mimics the real gun. Among airsoft machine guns, the Model 249 PARA is one of the more lifelike guns on the market today.

The Model 249 PARA incorporates a metal bi-pod that has a folding ability and also has a skeletal stock with an included shoulder rest that will allow the shooter greater ability to rain fire down on their opponents on the battlefield. The Echo 1 has a muzzle velocity of 360 feet per second, decent speed among airsoft machine guns. The huge box magazine has the ability to hold 2400 rounds of ammunition, so running out of BBs is never going to be a concern.

Positioning of the SAW should always be in a higher elevation above the battlefield if possible. This allows the shooter a better view of the field, somewhat like that of a sniper. Lying prone on the ground is a more vulnerable position anyway, so being up hill allows the shooter more time to react to the enemies movements as they will take longer to ascend the hill to the position of the shooter.

Airsoft machine guns such as the Echo 1 Model 249 PARA are a valuable weapon to incorporate into your next battle. They bring a lot of fire power and are able to lay down a massive base of fire towards the enemy. They definitely will give you a huge advantage over your opponents.

All About Airsoft Spring Guns

I'm going to guess that your first airsoft gun was probably spring powered. I say this because these guns are usually the cheapest guns. You wouldn't want to go out and spend $200 on an AEG rifle if you didn't even know if you were going to like the sport of airsoft yet. Just because these guns are less expensive than other guns doesn't mean that they are just for novices. They can be very useful for many reasons.

Airsoft spring pistols are usually plastic but some due come in metal versions. These are very useful in close quarters battle (CQB) or any other kind of airsoft battle as a secondary weapon. These pistols must be cocked after every shot by pulling the slide back. Just because they are spring powered does not mean that they are weak or under powered. Some may shoot up to 400 feet per second!

Many airsoft shotguns are spring powered. Shotguns can be very powerful and effective for clearing out a room in CQB. These guns are not as useful for outdoor play as they do not hold accuracy over a long distance very well. This is due to the wide shot pattern they have. They can shoot 3 to 6 bb's in one shot at a rate of speed. These guns also must be cocked for each shot. This seems less inconvenient as cocking a pistol every time because shotguns are pump action. This mimics the real thing.

Nearly all airsoft sniper rifles are spring guns. These guns do not need to be automatic electric due to their use. Most sniper rifles are bolt action. This is a lever that must be pulled up and back to chamber another round. These airsoft guns are rarely cheap plastic models, but more metal, high-end units. Sniper rifles are longer than other spring guns so they have better accuracy. Bi-pods and scopes are commonly used with these.

AirsoftEverything.com can help you find the airsoft spring gun you are looking for.
