WW2 Airsoft Sniper Rifles Are Increasingly Historically Accurate

There are WW2 airsoft sniper rifles made now that look exactly like the sniper rifles used by each of the major players in World War II. For example, the Mosin-Nagant M91/30 which was used by the Fins and Russians, the Mauser K98k used by German snipers, the Lee-Enfield No 4 Mk I used by the British and their Commonwealth allies, the famous Springfield M1903 A4 which was used by the United States and the deadly Arisaka Type 97 used by Japanese troops.

A sniper is a soldier who specializes in shooting from a concealed position and is an expert in shooting at longer-range targets than regular infantry, and requires special marksmanship, improved camouflage gear and a specialized knowledge of field craft.

Typical World War II-era sniper rifles were often the best standard-issue rifles chosen for individual accuracy. By adding a 2.5x telescopic sight and a cheek-rest, the bolt was often turned down to allow operation with the scope affixed.

Depending on where and how you play your games, take the weight of the rifle into consideration, as a heavy gun will become a burden if it has to be carried a long way. Many authentic WW2 sniper rifles are made with real wood furniture, which may become too heavy for younger players to carry too far. Many WW2 airsoft rifles incorporate some metals for better quality, but have lightweight plastic parts that look authentic, but weigh a lot less. Many WW2 airsoft rifles can be purchased with optional bipods, which obviously may also have to be carried long distances too, along with extra ammo, scopes etc.

One of the most popular WW2 sniper rifles is the Tanaka Arisaka Type 97, which is a replica bolt-action airsoft sniper rifle. These are still made by the Japanese who are well known for their precision and high quality manufacture. This is a gas powered, bolt-action rifle that was originally put into service by the Japanese in 1937.

The Tanika Arisaka airsoft rifle features a 2.5x magnification scope with a stabilized reticule. The vertical crosshairs of the scope are true to the real Japanese infantry rifle. These WW2 airsoft sniper rifles feature the same emblem of the Nagoya Arsenal, who manufactured the original back in 1937. They include a 2400m range finder, and the telescopic sight is on the left hand side just like the original. Press the magazine catch on the front part of the trigger guard, and the magazine releases.

Strangely, one of the other best WW2 airsoft sniper rifles is made in Japan too - that's the M1903A3 Springfield. This is again a bolt-action rifle, which is an extremely realistic and accurate replica of the original WW2 rifle. It features all real wood furniture and all the exact markings that were on the original Springfield M1903A3s.

If your preference is stealth and accuracy, with a leaning towards making your own authentic camouflage, any of the new WW2 airsoft sniper rifles might be for you - your most difficult choice is which side you want to be on!
