The Airsoft Starters Guide

If you have decided that you want to play airsoft, then there are a few things that you will need to buy before you start playing. You will need eye protection, an airsoft gun, camo or appropriate clothes, a tactical vest or belt, and a there are many other things that you should get later on if you are serious.

You absolutely need some form of eye/face protection in order to play airsoft. Airsoft is dangerous if you do not wear the correct safety equipment.Safety glasses or goggles are okay for target practice, but if you are being shot at, you will need a paintball mask. Paintball masks cover your entire face to help prevent you from being hit in the eye, nose, or mouth. You do not want to be hit in any of those areas, and you should never play airsoft without the proper safety equipment.

Once you got your airsoft mask, then you can buy the fun things, like your airsoft gun. If you are just starting out, I suggest that you buy an AEG, which is an automatic electric gun that runs on batteries. AEG's are the most popular airsoft guns, and they are the easiest to use.. If you are going to play airsoft, you should spend the most money on your gun. Do not skimp on airsoft guns, remember that the good ones have good resale value and you can just sell it online if you lose interest in the sport. There is no reason to buy a garbage AEG, but that doesn't mean you can't buy a good airsoft gun for a cheap price. I am always someone that wants to save money, but if it is something that has good resale value, I don't mind spending money on it. When you first start, you should get an AEG, and then once you are used to playing airsoft you can get a spring or gas gun. The better brands of AEGs are Tokyo Marui, Classic Army, G&G and STAR. If you have money to burn, buy a Systema, but I couldn't afford one.

Once you have your safety equipment and your airsoft gun, you should consider buying yourself some kind of clothing for playing airsoft. Ideally, you will have a gun and uniform for both good guys and bad guys, but that is not important when you are just starting out. A good pair of BDUs and maybe a tactical vest to hold extra magazines and water would be a good start. I recommend some kind of cheap full body jumpsuit when you are first starting, and then once you find out that airsoft is the best sport ever, you will want to buy some clothing for scenario play.

I hope this article helped give you so insight on how you will need to buy to play airsoft and how much it will cost. Airsoft is a great game and i hope you enjoy playing it as much as I do.

The Incredible Airsoft Automatic Electric Gun Part III

Arguably the most functional and exciting form of a replica gun ever made, the Airsoft automatic electric gun is characterized by its exquisite replication and outstanding craftsmanship. Although the sport of Airsoft had its beginnings in the early 1980s, the sports popularity began to take off in the early 90s when the first automatic electric guns (AEG) were developed and produced.

The premier manufacturer of the AEG is a Japanese company known as the "Godfather" of Airsoft called Tokyo Marui. With its primary market obviously in Japan, its high quality products are sold worldwide through a number of third party retailers. TM originally manufactured radio controlled hobby cars, and was a leading player in the model car industry before turning their attention to designing and manufacturing Airsoft guns.

TM is highly regarded as the industry standard in terms of quality and craftsmanship when it comes to the AEG. Their products are recognized for several well-known characteristics. TM AEGs are the high water mark for very realistic replicated looks. If not for their orange tips, these guns would be hard to differentiate from their real life counterparts such as the AK-47, the M-16, and the FAMAS F-1. These AEGs primarily have an ABS plastic body and are especially noted for their high quality construction. Batteries that are rechargeable, and which when drained can easily be replaced by a recharged unit power them. All the TM AEGs are fitted with their patented metal mech-box and known for their great reliability.

One of the most exciting features of the TM AEG is the ability to upgrade these wonderful Airsoft products. Along with Tokyo Marui, there are several other high-end companies producing dozens of different automatic electric Airsoft models with a full line of accessories and upgrades. The AEG is the most customizable of all the Airsoft guns, giving its owners the sense of designing their own unique weapon.

The performance of an AEG is often measured by its accuracy, shot velocity, distance, its operating time, and perhaps most importantly, its rate of fire (ROF). To enhance these elements, there are upgrades available for most of the critical parts of the AEG. This would include several different types of batteries that produce more power and upgrades to the AEGs internal mechanisms such as motors, gearboxes, bushings, and gears. External upgrades include enhancements to the scopes, barrels, stocks, and sights.

Perhaps the only prohibitive characteristic of the AEG is their overall price. Before adding upgrades, the base price of a new AEG is roughly between 200-400 U.S. dollars, depending on the model. Upgrades can be somewhat pricy, possibly costing several hundred dollars as well. Batteries alone can run around 45 to 50 U.S. dollars not including the charger that is needed.

There are several different types of Airsoft guns that are less expensive than the AEG. A low-end spring gun can be purchased for as little as 20 dollars. Although there are less expensive Airsoft guns, interested buyers should keep this perspective in mind: No other product can match the exhilarating excitement and thrill of owning one of these fabulous automatic electric Airsoft guns!

All About Airsoft Spring Guns

I'm going to guess that your first airsoft gun was probably spring powered. I say this because these guns are usually the cheapest guns. You wouldn't want to go out and spend $200 on an AEG rifle if you didn't even know if you were going to like the sport of airsoft yet. Just because these guns are less expensive than other guns doesn't mean that they are just for novices. They can be very useful for many reasons.

Airsoft spring pistols are usually plastic but some due come in metal versions. These are very useful in close quarters battle (CQB) or any other kind of airsoft battle as a secondary weapon. These pistols must be cocked after every shot by pulling the slide back. Just because they are spring powered does not mean that they are weak or under powered. Some may shoot up to 400 feet per second!

Many airsoft shotguns are spring powered. Shotguns can be very powerful and effective for clearing out a room in CQB. These guns are not as useful for outdoor play as they do not hold accuracy over a long distance very well. This is due to the wide shot pattern they have. They can shoot 3 to 6 bb's in one shot at a rate of speed. These guns also must be cocked for each shot. This seems less inconvenient as cocking a pistol every time because shotguns are pump action. This mimics the real thing.

Nearly all airsoft sniper rifles are spring guns. These guns do not need to be automatic electric due to their use. Most sniper rifles are bolt action. This is a lever that must be pulled up and back to chamber another round. These airsoft guns are rarely cheap plastic models, but more metal, high-end units. Sniper rifles are longer than other spring guns so they have better accuracy. Bi-pods and scopes are commonly used with these.

AirsoftEverything.com can help you find the airsoft spring gun you are looking for.

I own and operate AirsoftEverything.com I want to educate more people about airsoft and offer great airsoft guns and gear at great prices. Help keep this great sport alive! Check us out at http://www.airsofteverything.com

Going with Quality Guns Airsoft

These weapons are one of the best choices for entertainment and fun. They may look and feel like real guns, but they emit only BBs so they are safe for users of most ages, except for the very young. But the reality is a Spring Airsoft Gun can provide hours of safe fun for the whole family.

Finding the Right Airsoft Rifle

Which of the weapons is the right one to purchase? That's a question people ask daily. One of the best answers, at least for the experienced player, is the Airsoft Sniper Rifle. This weapon packs a lot of power but should never be taken for granted. On the field, players can use it to take out enemies from a distance while hiding in a secure location. Of course, if they are detected, then they lose their advantage. The best thing is that these rifles come in a number of different styles to match the needs of any seasoned player.

Discounted Airsoft Pistol Heat

Experienced players will say that Airsoft Pistols might not make the best primary weapon in the game, but they no one should get on the field without one for back-up purposes. At close range or if the primary weapon runs out of ammo, then an Airsoft Spring Pistol can still keep the player from losing to the "enemy." Players can find a large selection of these pistols at a few online sites.

Popular Electric Airsoft Guns Advantages

The most common weapon on the playing field is going to be the Airsoft Electric Gun for several reasons. First, the gun can fire BBs as long as the player is holding down the trigger. That can make for some decisive game play, especially in tight moments. The Electric Airsoft Rifle can also switch to semi-automatic mode for slower, more precise firing if that's what the player needs.

The Fun of Inexpensive Soft Air Guns

No matter what happens on the field, players need to have a good time with their Air Soft Guns. These weapons can literally come in any size and shape the Airsoft Gun a person wants so they can be whoever they want to be on the field. Sniper's Best Ghillie Suit

Snipers have been and still are essential parts of military units. They are target specialists using sniper rifles who can fire accurate shots from a long distance. Snipers are camouflage specialists with supreme accuracy in aim, great survival and camouflage skills and tremendous patience augmented by near-perfect calculation powers. They operate singly, sneaking up on the enemy and eliminating them one by one while remaining completely invisible. They usually operate by eliminating commanding officers of enemy units.

So, we can see that camouflage is a key to a sniper, second only to his shooting abilities. Thus after the sniper rifle, the sniper ghillie suits they use are of utmost importance to them as these are what they depend most for camouflage. Such suits are also used by hunters for remaining invisible to game. In fact ghillies were first developed by Scottish game keepers for hunting. The British Lovat Scouts' Snipers are known to be the first military unit to use Ghillie Suits. The suit was used in the Boer wars.

Blending into the surroundings is of utmost importance for snipers. Since they have to get in close to the opponent unit they need all the camouflage that they can get. The success of a camouflage means life or death to a sniper. For a hunter ghillies are very essential for getting close to a prey. Game like deer, have very keen senses and fast reflexes and running abilities. To hunt them it is essential to get close. However, ordinarily game is able to sense a hunter moving in. Camouflaging allows the hunter to sneak in without the game taking notice. Sniper ghillie suits are made to resemble the vegetation of the area where they operate. The specialist snipers make their own suits picking up vegetation on the way to attach to their suit.

The Special Ops Sniper Ghillie, is made of synthetic thread, nylon or similar durable material with netting sewn to it. The netting forms the base of the suit. The suit is then weathered by soaking it in mud. As the sniper moves in his track, he keeps adding the vegetation of the area to the suit. Snipers spend most of their time laying or crawling on the ground. For this reason the front of the jacket and pants have to be left open. The sewn on Jute thread covers the back of the jacket, tops of the arms, and shoulders and thumb loops are sewn into the cuff of the sleeves for crawling.

Sniper ghilies can get very hot and heavy. Even in moderate climates, the temperature inside a ghillie easily reaches 120 °F. The material of the suit is also flammable, unless treated with fire retardant. The suit as a result, is prone to catching fire from smoke grenades or white phosphorus. To enhance safety, the US Army Soldier Systems Center has developed a fire resistant ghillie fabric to replace the jute or burlap. This new material self extinguishes itself as the fire resistant material is inherent in the suit. This is enough to allow a sniper turn into the most lethal and stealthy enemy for both its human victim as well as game.

Everything You Need to Know About Airsoft Guns

Airsoft rifles first originated in Japan. It was around 1980 when the first one came out. These guns are the newest technology of toy gun replicas. They hit the market big worldwide because people liked how they were exact replicas of the real thing. The reloading process and their weight are like the real gun they are replicating. These guns can propel BBs anywhere from 30-260 meters per second for spring or gas guns.

It can be very difficult picking out the right airsoft gun because there are so many different ones in the market. You must choose a gun that fits your needs, and one that you like. Some things to keep in mind when picking out a toy gun are: capability, cost, FPS, RPM, maintenance, and functionality. You need to decide if you want airsoft sniper rifles, airsoft rifles, airsoft pistols, or shotguns. This will depend on what you want your place to be on the airsoft field.

There are three different types of airsoft guns. The most popular ones are the electric airsoft guns. It is powered by a rechargeable battery. There are many different batteries, and you must make sure you buy the right one that fits your gun. Electric airsoft rifles are the most popular, but they are also very expensive. There is also a gas airsoft gun. The most popular gas airsoft gun are airsoft pistols. These guns have the most power out of the three. The BBs are propelled by the pressurized gas. One disadvantage of these is that every time you need to play airsoft, you also need gas. That requires a trip to the store every time. The last type is an airsoft spring gun. This gun is the least popular out of the three. They are neither automatic or semi-automatic. After every time firing you need to re-cock the gun to shoot again. Having to do this slows down your shooting time significantly. Airsoft sniper rifles are usually spring guns.

If you are still not sure on what kind to get think of what you are going to be using it for. If you want it to have precise accuracy you should think of getting spring airsoft sniper rifles. If you want it to have an airsoft war, with your friends, you should probably think of getting an electric airsoft gun or a gas gun. An spring gun will take you much too time to reload in an airsoft war.

The Incredible Airsoft Automatic Electric Gun Part II

Perhaps the single greatest reason for the surging world-wide popularity of the Sport of Airsoft was the development of the Automatic Electric Gun or what is commonly referred to as the AEG. These guns are universally fully automatic replicas of real-world weapons, such as the M-16 and the AK-47. The exhilarating lure of these Airsoft guns lies in their wonderfully designed fully automated firing systems. These guns have batteries, motors, and gears that control the firing mechanism. It is this automated system that creates the power needed to support the exciting rapid-fire feature of the AEG.

The automatic electric Airsoft gun system is battery operated. Depending on the model style, this battery is stored in the handgrip or the stock of the rifle. The big, full-stock Airsoft rifles such as the AK-47 use the larger AEG batteries. The smaller AEG sub-machine gun models like the M4 or the collapsible stock Airsoft rifles such as the MP5 PDW use the mini or stick batteries. The on board Ni-Cad battery in both models drives a small but powerful motor that in turn powers the AEG.

This is where the magic begins with these guns! Merely pulling the trigger completes a simple electrical circuit that causes the motor inside the AEG to start spinning. The motor then begins to drive the gears in the mech box. The mech box action in turn causes the piston to compress and release. The motion of the piston creates a blast of air that propels the 6mm plastic bb through the barrel of the gun. It is this fully automated process that gives the AEG its most dynamic and desirable feature: a rate of fire (ROF) ranging between 600-900 rounds-per-minute (RPM).

Like their real life counter-parts, the AEG plastic ammunition BBs are stored in a magazine (a detachable part of the gun that holds the ammunition ready for shooting). There are two types of magazines designed for the AEG Airsoft guns. The first is the low capacity magazine or also known as the (Locap). Usually, every new AEG comes equipped with a Locap Mag. Depending on the model of the gun, the Locap holds roughly 50-70 BBs. The low-end capacity gun models would include the Thompson SMG and the Airsoft Uzi. The second type of magazine is the high capacity mag, also known as the (Hicap). Once again, depending on the gun model, the Hicap mag will hold between 200-600 BBs. A high-end capacity AEG such as the AK-47 can hold a Hicap mag containing an astonishing 600 BBs. Although the new models come standard with the Locap mags, most of the larger AEGs can be upgraded to the higher capacity units. Designed to be completely like the guns they replicate, these Airsoft magazines can be changed out as soon they are emptied just like their real counterparts.

With its realistic look and feel, combined with a spectacular automated firing system, the Airsoft automatic electric gun, AEG, continues to grow in its persona and worldwide appeal. Gun enthusiasts, collectors, and avid Airsoft players can all enjoy owning one of these amazing replica guns.

The Importance of Firing Velocities For Airsoft Guns

The feet per second, or FPS, of a gun is an important consideration for any type of gun. This is especially important for airsoft guns because these guns can come in a variety of different FPS levels.

The FPS level of an airsoft gun refers to how quickly ammunition will go after it is shot out of the gun. The FPS, or feet per second, is the measure of speed that is used. When the FPS number is higher the BB or paintball shell that comes out of the gun will travel at a faster rate.

What makes this such a major consideration for any of these guns is that these guns can come in different forms that handle different firing velocities. Some of the slowest guns will be ones that can fire at a velocity of less than two hundred FPS. Some of the most powerful of these guns can handle velocity levels that are closer to three hundred FPS.

While these speeds are indeed very fast they are relatively slow when compared with real guns. An actual firearm can fire bullets at more than two thousand feet per second in many cases.

An important part of the firing velocity of this type of gun deals with the legality of the gun. In some countries there are limits as to what the firing velocities of these guns can be. For example, in many countries around Europe including Italy and Slovenia guns are allowed but they must have firing velocities of less than one hundred meters per second or 328 FPS. Any gun that has a firing velocity greater than a country's limit for an airsoft gun will be considered a firearm and will be subjected to country laws and in some cases registration requirements.

Advanced Airsoft Sniper Rifles

Sniper rifles are some of the most respected products in the entire airsoft industry. They are sleek, beautiful, and overall very powerful. For a sniper rifle to be a sniper, it needs to have more power than a regular rifle, because pellets need to travel a greater range to hit the target than normal. It is also critical that even the most basic sniper rifle has a high level of accuracy, because range means nothing if your pellets are flying several yards to the left or right after each shot. Especially when you consider that you may only have one shot to take out a target, it is imperative that the shot counts and can actually hit.

Even though these capabilities are expected of any airsoft sniper rifle, it is also the case that companies are looking to take it even further with advanced sniper rifles. Given the rapid acceleration of technological change in the modern world, it is not surprising that forward-thinking firms are taking chances and introducing new, awesome products to the market place. What follows are a couple specific examples of the incredible feats of engineering that companies have achieved in order to help players take their game to the next level.

First, it is important to realize that in the airsoft world, making something look more real can be considered a benefit in itself. After all, the purpose of airsoft is to simulate military and police action as closely as possible (without anyone getting hurt, of course), and it is important for the airsoft guns themselves to look realistic. Many new sniper rifles, such as the AGM VSR Sniper Rifle, are made with real wood and metal, along with being designed in such a way to be as realistic as possible.

Of course what you may be most interested in are the enhancements which improve accuracy and range. These improvements are coming in the form of increasingly adjustable hop-up and electronic devices on the guns that allow you to alter FPS without needing to use an allen wrench. In addition, through the use of gas-powered sniper rifles, as opposed to spring or electric, you can attain amazing power. Always remember that when it comes to any type of airsoft gun, whether it is a standard rifle, pistol, or sniper, green gas will always get you the most power. And when this power is combined with innovations like the electronic screen, you gain an almost unfair advantage over your opponents.

The Exciting Airsoft Sniper Rifle Part One Part Two

The Airsoft Sniper Rifle has become a very popular weapon of choice for the veteran Airsoft warrior. Arguably one of the most powerful Airsoft guns in the industry, the sniper rifle is designed to propel the plastic bbs at a high velocity with stunning accuracy.

It is extremely important for the Airsoft sniper to choose the right rifle. There are several reputable manufacturers who produce different model lines of Airsoft Sniper Rifles. Some with such detail that they are very difficult to distinguish from their real "steel" counterparts. The Airsoft Sniper Rifle is available to the consumer at a broad price range. Some of the models with the more exquisite detail, and with metal and wood casings can cost well over a whopping 2,000 U.S. dollars! Made almost completely out of steel and wood, these super expensive models have high quality interior mechanisms that fire the gun. With their heavy feel, long barrel lengths, averaging around 42 inches (1070mm), and with their quality detail, these expensive models are well worth the price to the avid Airsoft player.

The above average cost of the sniper rifle has proven to be a barrier to some enthusiasts. Though the average Airsoft player cannot afford such a high price for a gun, there are some excellent, less expensive models. These rifles are not in the very expensive luxury category, but nonetheless are still a high quality gun. For a well built model, one can expect to pay around the same price that he would for an automatic electric Airsoft gun (AEG), between two or three hundred U.S. dollars.

The higher quality Airsoft Sniper Rifle is usually made from heavyweight ABS plastic. This heavyweight material is a blend of plastic and metal. The ABS plastic gives the gun a cost effective, realistic heavy feel without the expensive steel manufacturing. The Airsoft Sniper Rifle that is made of this material is generally marked ABS, which usually increases its overall value. The Japanese Airsoft Gun manufacturing companies Tanaka and Maruzen make the most popular of these models.

It is also important to note that even less expensive Sniper rifles are also available. These guns are made primarily out of plastic, and can usually be purchased for around 100 U.S. dollars. Unicorn Hobby Company (UHC) of Taiwan makes one of the most popular models. This low-end, cheap Airsoft Sniper Rifle model is called the UHC Super 9.

In purchasing a cheap Airsoft Sniper Rifle, one can easily exchange some of the parts for metal or wood at a later time. This not only makes the gun feel and look more realistic, it increases the its overall value. Most major manufacturers offer upgrades such as metal barrels, custom grips, red light scopes, wooden stocks, laser sights, bi-pods and other accessories. The added expenses of potential needed upgrades must be kept in mind. Although capable of a decent firing experience when initially purchased, in order to be effective in serious war game battles, some upgrades will be needed.

Tokyo Marui of Japan has developed a new Sniper Rifle called the VSR-10. At a manageable price, this rifle works quite well before any upgrades are made.

Choosing the Airsoft Sniper Rifle that accommodates the right budget is certainly very important. No matter the price, these exciting guns are sure to bring great enjoyment to gallant Airsoft warriors everywhere.

Powerful Green Gas Airsoft Sniper Rifles

Ever wonder what's all that talk about green gas airsoft sniper rifles? Is there an advantage to using green gas airsoft guns? The answers you may get can be different depending on the person you are asking. I've heard that green gas rifles are great but it also depends where you play. Climate affects the gas in the canisters that you use and is known to don't work so well in colder climate. There one airsoft sniper rifle that has been the talk on the field and its the KJW M700 Green Gas Powered Airsoft sniper rifle.

This gas powered rifle claims to shoot at 600-720 FPS! That's is the fastest airsoft sniper rifle I've come across and the reviews of this rifle is saying it's the truth. The KJW M700 is a gas blot action sniper rifle and the bolt action is very smooth. There's no strained in pulling back the bolt because there's no spring to give resistance. The magazine of the rifles holds upto 11 rounds and simple to insert, it also comes with a nice cushion rubber butt stock. The optiumn size of BB to use is the .225 grams because the .2 grams are too light. With a .225 gram BB I was able to constantly shoot at 600+ FPS. When purchasing the M700 you have a choice to combo it with a scope or a bipod. The total length of this rifle comes out to 46.5 inches and weighs a little over 7 pounds and the price isn't to expensive.

In my honest opinion the M700 airsoft sniper rifle is a very powerful green gas sniper rifle and should be purchase if you are more comfortable as an all around sniper on your team. The accuracy on this gun for its range and projection is better then most airsoft guns on the market. This will be one of the most tactical rifle for any airsoft player and something you should look into.

Airsoft Sniper Rifles - An Overview of Sniper Rifles For Airsoft Competitions

There are a number of different types of airsoft guns that you have to choose from, but no collection is truly complete without one of the airsoft sniper rifles that are available. As a matter of fact, you may find that you are called on for your services in a skirmish whenever you have one of these airsoft sniper rifles and it can be a lot of fun to be out of the action, yet firing in on occasion in order to save the day. There are some options that are available whenever choosing one of these weapons, however, that you may want to consider.

Perhaps one of the most important options to choose is to make sure that the action which powers the airsoft sniper rifles is going to be reliable. Most of them are going to be either gas or electric, but you also may be interested in trying one of the spring-loaded varieties, as they can be quite accurate and powerful. The real problem with going with a spring-loaded weapon is that the rate of fire will be lower then a electric or automatic gas model. It is really going to be up to you, however, and you will need to be comfortable with whatever weapon you choose.

Another consideration is the velocity that is available with these specialized weapons. Most competitions will limit you to a maximum of 350 ft./s, but a these weapons often end up firing at 400-500 ft./s. The real difference is the fact that you are going to be shooting over a longer distance and by the time the projectile reaches its target, it is not going to do any more damage than a slower moving projectile. Unfortunately, most competitions are going to ban the use of these higher powered models because of liability and the possibility of somebody getting injured.

Other options that are available on these airsoft sniper rifles include such things as scopes, bipods and the type of stock that is available, whether it is open or full. The majority of these are going to be personal decisions that will be according to your own likes and dislikes. It is a good idea for you to take a look at the different options that are available to you, and you choose one that will be something that you can carry onto the field with pride.

Spring Airsoft Sniper Rifles - Everything You Need to Know

Spring Airsoft sniper rifles are the most elaborate form of spring guns. They easily shoot at velocities of 500 feet per second or more with some that boast over 700 fps. You definitely do not want to be on the receiving end of one of these bad boys. In fact, in Airsoft combat there are often rules that prohibit the firing of a spring sniper rifle at close range because it is dangerous and can cause serious damage to the mark. Instead, snipers are encouraged to use their secondary to get the kill or simulate a shot by yelling "bang".

Spring Airsoft snipers use the heaviest kinds of Airsoft BBs, starting from.30g all the way up to.43g. This is to help stabilize the BB in flight since it usually has to travel exceptionally long distances before hitting its target. A heavier BB is less affected by wind and will cause a lot more damage upon impact.

Spring Airsoft sniper rifles are the preferred choice for marksman roles in skirmishes and tournaments since they allow the operator to fire from a much further distance than assault rifles and pistols. You would often see snipers towards the back of the field hidden in small rooms or on top of buildings for a tactical advantage. Unlike electric guns, the spring sniper rifle is very quiet when fired which allows the operator to unload round after round without giving away his position.

Spring sniper rifles are the most commonly used form of spring guns in Airsoft combat, and although they cost more than their counterparts, they are most definitely worth the price. No other type of Airsoft gun comes close to the precision and strategic advantage that's offered by a spring Airsoft snipe rifle.

Choices For an Airsoft Sniper Part 1 of 2

Of all the options that can be given for a good or best sniper rifle, the option of choice is the biggest factor. By choice I mean it is up to the individual. Each shooter will have their set of preferences. These are driven either by experience or by information gathered or given by others.

Again this information could be good, if given by those that really have experience or bad if taken from the Internet and those that are giving the info have never been involved in the sport. These will include the rifle as a starter and go as deep as to which brand of BB they will use. Now each of these choices will add to or detract from the performance of the shooter. Add to this the ability of the shooter and you have a mix of variables that determine how well or bad the shooter can perform as a sniper.

Now you may wonder what the draw is to being a sniper. Movies for one thing; another is the ability to be where the enemy does not expect you to be and to pick off those that are out of reach by the normal soldier. The normal grunt is shooting at everything that moves. The sniper is waiting for that one shot that will disable the enemy. He or she, (yes, women like being snipers too, sneaky aren't they), may be looking for glory, too.

Now this next item deals more with the pocketbook than the shooter. Well maybe not since the shooter controls the pocketbook. How much do I spend on a rifle? That is a good question. If you opt out for the cheap gun you are asking for trouble. Here is why, they will break, fall apart, jam up, make you pull out your hair before the game is even started. Now you know how I feel, lets try and be non emotional about it. Cheap rifles suck.

As the old saying goes "you get what you pay for". That is especially true for Airsoft guns. If you want a toy to play with in the back yard, go to Wal-Mart for a gun. If you want a rifle to actually use in an Airsoft combat game then you need to go to a dealer that sells realistic Airsoft weapons. Ones that are made for this type of use and will hold up under fire, so to speak.

Now you can go online and find great deals, and the good dealers usually have a good return policy. Prices in the range of $200 to $350 will buy you a good rifle, one that is accurate and sturdy. Also the rifle should be able to shoot a 3-inch grouping at about 100 - 130 foot range. Of course you have to take into account all the normal elements, wind, rain, snow and of course the urge to go potty.

One of the variables that are always good for a rousing discussion is, bolt or semi-auto action. This again has many points to the decision of the shooter. On one side you have the fact that a bolt action is more solid and has the advantage of fewer parts to fail, so it is more dependable. On the other side we have the fact that a semi-auto action allows you to get off another shot quickly if you need to before the target disappears. But then again, the idea of being a sniper is the ability to not be seen and have the advantage of surprise, while the enemy is trying to find you; you have the opportunity to get off another shot regardless of the type of action you have chosen.

History will always play a role in the type of weapon being chosen for the Airsoft sniper's rifle. Some shooters like reliving the past and will choose a weapon that was popular in previous wars. Nothing wrong with that in Airsoft combat as the playing field is pretty much even. By that I mean all the Airsoft weapons are pretty well matched in performance or ability regardless of the style. Now today in the real world, using a WW2 weapon against a modern 50 cal. Sniper rifle would be suicide. The ability to reach out and touch someone is far more advanced today.

Which power of scope do I choose? That question comes up a lot, especially with the new Airsoft player trying to get into the game as a sniper. Do I go with a variable power or just get one that is super powerful to start with? You have to remember most Airsoft play is not at 1000 yards but more like 100 yards to start, the length of a football field. As the action closes in to 130 to 150 feet range you should be able to start getting kill shot. So a super powerful scope would be over kill and not be the best choice. Choose something in the area of a variable 3X to 9X, this should give the best field of vision and also provide a good magnification of the target. One last suggestion buy a scope that has illuminated cross hairs, you will need this in darker areas.

The second part will recap a little of Part 1, and then cover some of the other variables; BB's good or bad, is it the weapon or the shooter, and then accuracy and maybe more. Hope this has given you some useful information if you are thinking about becoming a sniper in the sport of Airsoft and be sure to read "Choices For an Airsoft Sniper Part 2".

How Airsoft Sniper Rifle Hop Ups Works

All most every Airsoft player knows about hop-ups but there are a few players that don't. If you have no idea what a hop-up is then here a simple definition. Hop-up is basically the velocity of an airsoft BB when it's fired from an airsoft rifle. When an airsoft sniper rifle has an adjustable hop-up, that means you can adjust the speed or increase the speed of the BB firing from the rifle. Hop-up is also the theory of backspin, in which it usually spin in a up and backward direction. This is cause by the BB grinding along the top of the inside of the sniper rifles barrel. This grinding of the BB causes friction and gives it a spin, that spin offsets things such as gravity and air resistance, allowing the BB to travel further.

These hop-up devices are used on airsoft sniper rifles to apply more backspin to the BB. As stated earlier, the backspin allows the BB to fly farther and stay in the air longer. There a also other things to consider like for instance the wind and throw the trajectory of the BB off to the right or left depending on how strong the breeze is. There are certain hop-ups to help counter this affect on the BB and some hop-up are made especially for certain size BB to provide the best results.

If I told you the Bernoulli's Principle is related to using hop-up would you believe me? Well if you have no idea what the Bernoulli's Principle is then in basic term it states that "an increase in velocity occurs simultaneously with the decrease of pressure or a change in the gravitational potential energy."

But how those this applies to Airsoft? Pressure is inversely proportional to velocity, in that lower pressure equals higher velocity. So in a spin-less BB being fired from a sniper rifle will have an equal pressure around the BB, but if a BB with a backspin creates a difference in pressure on the opposite sides of the BB and this difference in pressure makes the BB travel further.

So you can see, by adding an extra backspin to the BB, the accuracy of an airsoft rifle can be greatly increased. That is why it is wise to purchase an airsoft sniper rifle with an adjustable hop-up, so you have greater control over where your BB's end up or whom it hits. Having this extra range in your shot will greatly improve your kill ratio in an Airsoft game. Knowing how a hop-up works can give you greater confidence, since you understand how the hop-up upgrade and hop-up in general works.

Using Airsoft Sniper Rifles Properly

Many people are attracted to the idea of being an airsoft sniper. For one, you have a relatively high level of safety, as you can hit people when they cannot hit you. However, there are some drawbacks as well. You cannot fire as quickly as other people, and if they get too close to you, you are out of luck. There are some tips you can follow to ensure that you do not get taken out early, and can eliminate as many opponents as possible.

Always make sure to have someone covering you, just like they do in the real army. That way if somebody gets too close, or comes up from behind, you will not get taken out without even realizing it. Having a spotter is very important, but you also need to convince someone to stand next to you while you have most of the fun. That is why you should take turns being the spotter for someone else, so everything is fair.

However, in some cases, you will not be able to secure a spotter to cover you. In this case, you need to have a sidearm of some kind to defend yourself in close quarters. An electric or gas pistol usually functions well, but some people carry both a sniper rifle and a fully equipped airsoft rifle, for when things get really sticky. If you can handle carrying that much, then go ahead and do it. The more prepared you are, the better you will be in an unforeseen or difficult situation.

Do Airsoft Sniper Rifles Cause Injury?

Most people seem to think that airsoft rifles (especially airsoft sniper rifles) can be dangerous or can cause harm. While it may sting quite a bit to get hit by a plastic airsoft BB, it certainly does not cause injury, except maybe in extremely rare cases. Plastic airsoft BBs simply do not have enough weight to penetrate into your skin; this is why it is just as safe a sport as paintball. The only difference between airsoft and paintball is that you can only feel the BB hit you, but you cannot actually see any mark where it hits. Basically it is fine to get shot anywhere but in the eyes when playing airsoft, and even you did get shot in the eye, it is highly unlikely that it would cause an actual injury (but in some cases it may be possible).

While airsoft is certainly a safe (and fun) sport to play, you still will want to wear the proper gear. Basically the only thing that is really mandatory is proper eye protection. Airsoft vests can also be worn, but they do not really protect you from injury, they just make it hurt a bit less when you get shot in the chest or back. Also, you can get a full mask for airsoft games, but it is not necessary, and it can actually make it quite a bit harder to see (and to aim your gun). Lastly, players that use airsoft sniper rifles usually like to take on the sniper role, and sometimes choose to wear full camo outwear (however, this is not typically considered to be protective gear).

Much like many other outdoor activities, the majority of injuries that come form playing airsoft are not even related to getting shot by an airsoft rifle. In fact, it is usually the terrain that leads to someone getting hurt while playing airsoft. For example, when playing airsoft outdoors, there are usually many various obstacles, such as rocks, trees, hills, slippery ground, and so on. While the odds of getting inured from an airsoft pellet are slim to none, it is not uncommon to see someone take a bad fall and scrape themselves up a bit, or possibly worse. But his has nothing to do with the airsoft guns; this sort of things could happen in ANY outdoor situation.

Hopefully this article helps to clear up the confusion a little bit when it comes to airsoft rifles and kids getting hurt playing airsoft. It seems that a lot of mothers out there get very worried when their son asks for an airsoft gun for his birthday. However, what people need to realize is that statistically, it is hardly ever the guns that end up injuring someone, it is simple the outdoor terrain that the airsoft game is played on. And when yo u think about it that way, it is just as easy to get hurt while hiking or mountain biking, among other things. Bottom line? Plastic airsoft pellets are never going to be much of a risk to anyone. However, as with almost any outdoor activity, rocks, hills, and slippery ground will always be a threat to your safety.

The article that you just read was brought to you by Matthew Betourney. Matthew has owned a good deal of airsoft rifles, and he even runs his own online shop, which deals mostly in high end airsoft sniper rifles (and a few good AEG guns as well).

How to be a Top Airsoft Sniper - One Shot, One Kill!

There are several crucial elements in becoming a top Airsoft sniper. Having the proper equipment is one of the most important but also having skills in camouflage, escape and evasion and target acquisition are even more crucial to winning skirmishes as an airsoft sniper. We will touch on some of the basics in the following article to help newbie airsoft gamers get a primer into the world of sniping.

As equipment goes, your first step will be to get a good rifle. A good Airsoft sniper rifle should have a muzzle velocity of at least 400fps. Any less than this and you won't have the firepower to make the long range kills, and your job as a sniper will be rendered useless in battle. There are lots of styles of sniper rifles but a spring rifle be the best choice, hopefully a bolt action as they will be the most consistent. An electric gun will tend to wear down the gearbox faster with a higher fps spring and are generally less accurate, a gas gun is fine, but you have to take into account cool-down effect and the effect of the temperature on the rate of expansion on the gas, that may therefore affect the fps, range and accuracy.

The next piece of equipment that is essential to becoming a proficient sniper is a high quality scope. Bushnell makes very good scopes. A 3-9x40 is a classic choice. Bipods are extremely helpful in assisting with accuracy in case you don't have a good location to brace your weapon with a pack or something similar. If you're already into the world of airsoft games you will most likely have a good set of camouflage fatigues, but as a sniper, you will need to get a ghillie suit. A ghillie suit allows you to place natural foliage, grass, branches, etc into the suit so you can blend into your surroundings. They can be purchased from they resources listed at the bottom of this article.

Other gear that you will need include a second sidearm, preferably a good quality airsoft pistol. Having a handgun will allow you to survive if ever you are spotted and cannot use your sniper rifle as protection. Binoculars, radio system, body armour, high quality ammunition are some of the other essentials to your sniper kit. Learn how to use it all so you won't be at a disadvantage when you're in battle.

If you're going to be on long creeps, for hours at a time, include food and water in your pack, but don't leave any evidence such as wrappers or bottles on the field. Nothing will give you away easier than your old trash that you forgot to pack. You must learn the art of stealth. Move slow be sure to watch the enemy. This is the most important step! You must take the time to study your environment. Instead of seeing things as trees or bushes, think of them as a good hiding place or a fallback point. Become comfortable in all situations and weather conditions. You must know how to snipe in woods and open fields, hills and trees. Also, become familiar with changing you ghillie suit to adapt to terrain.

While airsofting, stay low and move slow is the sniper motto. Set up an ambush or pick off advancing enemies. The best position for a sniper is prone which keeps you hidden the most, however crouching is an alternative in very dense areas. Standing up is when you are a more obvious target. Don't reveal your whole silhouette, profiles are harder to see. Always have an escape route planned ahead of time, so you can get away if by chance you are spotted.

This should give you a good start on becoming a top airsoft sniper. The best thing you can do is practice these skills when you're not in a real battle, so you're ready for the next real skirmish you're invited to join. With a little practice, you'll be making kills from long ranges, and have the opposition wondering how they just got shot.

You can get great deals on all of your airsoft gear at the link below. Good luck.

The 3 Types of Airsoft Snipers

There are three different types of airsoft sniper rifles and each one is played very differently! Depending on which one a sniper decides to use will alter the gameplay and tactics he uses!

First, we have the famous Spring Powered Rifle! This classic airsoft gun is used my airsofters around the world because of its reliability! For any sniper a Spring Rifle is a great choice for just grabbing your gun and going. These are used by both beginning airsoft snipers and advanced. To work a spring rifle it is most commonly operated with bolt-action and can sometimes require strength to pull back the spring, depending on its power. A great example of a typical spring sniper is the JG BAR 10. This gun helps teach you the basics of sniping, while providing the window of opportunity to go full-out and upgrade. In the end, this gun can be upgraded to shoot at about 600 fps with.36 gram BB's and reach ranges of 300ft.

Next, we will look at the ElectricRifle, like the M14 or M24. These snipers are powered by a battery inside of the gun and can normally be shot without having to pull a bolt back. Not only do these guns have a fairly large range, but they also come with the reliability of being sure you will pin someone down with a reign of BB's. The rate of fire can also be increased on these types of guns by replacing the battery! But, in the airsoft community, Electric Sniper Rifles can often be looked down upon, for not staying true to the sniper way of "one shot one kill". So be ready for a very different sniping experience when using this type of gun. Echo1 and Classic Army are great providers for airsoft Electric Rifles!

Lastly, we have the Gas Powered Rifle. When the term "gas" is used it generally means Green Gas, Propane, or CO2 is being used to power the gun! These should generally be used by advanced players because of the technical aspect of these guns. Gas guns are also VERY powerful, usually, and should be handled with great caution! The good thing about powering your gun with gas though, is that it can help in tactical situations, because gas is much quieter than Electric or Spring guns! Tanaka is a great brand to look into for this type of sniper!

Each of these different Airsoft Snipers have their own Pros and Cons, but in the end you will have to decide for yourself on how you want to snipe, in the world of airsoft!

Sniper Rifles and Tactics

Airsoft gun games are the most exciting ways to enjoy and explore the use of guns in a safe and secure environment. If organized well they can provide all the thrills and the adrenalin rush of a real battle situation without the fatalities.

Participants play in a variety of simulated situations. Players can engage in short term skirmishes, organized situations with a number of players involved, military simulations and even historical re-enactments. Airsoft gun games using both pistols and Airsoft rifles can be played during daylight hours or the heat can be turned up by playing in night time conditions. Each situation calls for some guidelines on how to achieve the aims of winning. We are here into a discussion of tactics. In its broadest sense, tactics are about finding the right actions to take to achieve a particular set of aims. In the context of airsoft gun games we are talking about establishing a military strategy where strategy is the larger-scale framework of direction and control and it follows that military tactics include specific offensives or maneuvers in the presence of battle. This is not a game for woosies!

Despite having the overall aim of taking down the enemy, different guns with their respective features are used in different ways to achieve this goal. And each player using their particular weapon will have a different role in the overall strategy of the game.

Below are some of the basics of tactics in Airsoft gun military strategy:-

Positions for carrying your gun - these include tactical carry, alert carry, guard positions and threat positions.

Basic Gun Marksmanship - including shooting position essentials, correct body support, trigger squeeze and firing positions.

Firing during combat - including rapid semi-auto firing, rapid reload and quick firing.

Target Detection - this includes search techniques, target indicators, target marking and use of the 'Map Method'.

Other strategies include covering and concealing personnel, co-coordinating the team, guidelines for tactical movements and night -time fighting.

While everybody can join in the game, one of the most popular roles is the 'Airsoft Sniper' sometimes known as the Lone Wolf or 'Rogue of Airsofting'. This seems to be because of the marksmanship of the role such as the stealth involved, the power of the sniper rifle, and for many the sheer 'coolness' of being the sniper. His main tactical aim is to set up the perfect ambush and take out the enemy with a combination of cunning, speed and precision.

What would the sniper choose as his weapon? This Airsoft warrior plays with a Sniper Airsoft Rifle, designed for accurate, long range shooting with high velocity.

n a snap shot, here's how to be an effective 'sniper'.

In order to become an effective sniper or marksman, here are a few tips:

o Know the features of your gun. This is basic for all airsoft players alike, but crucial for the airsoft sniper. Knowing the shooting range of your gun and the best way to hit your target.

o Travel light. Whether you are a mobile sharpshooter or a stationary sniper, try to travel light. The Sniper Airsoft Rifle allows you to fire quietly, that's its advantage, but moving quickly is aided by traveling as light as possible.

o Choose your BB's well. Heavier BBs allow for better accuracy but you may lose on the ability to cover a longer distance.

o Be patient. Patience and stealth is the hallmark of a good sniper. Don't just fire the first time you see your target. You do not want to be detected a missed shot could mean your position is compromised.

o Stay cool. Being nervous means your hands will shake, your goggles mist over and you lose sight of your target. Stay cool and wait for the best shot.

o Work with a spotter. As in the military, most snipers do not actually work alone. Your spotter is there to support you if things are not right for you to snipe effectively.

o Fine tune your skills. While it might be the most exciting role in the game for some, it is also one of the most skilled. The more you know your Sniper Airsoft Rifles and its capabilities, how to use different cocking positions and accessories like a bipod and shoulder strap the easier it will be to find the best sniping maneuvers that ensure success in the game.

There are many types of Sniper Airsoft Rifle available. A good, quality internet stockist will be able to provide you with the most appropriate model for your level of skill and ability and of course provide you with an upgraded model as you hone your sniping skills.

Airsoft Sniper Rifle Vs Automatic Electric Airsoft Rifles

It seems that many people have trouble deciding whether they want to buy a single shot bolt action airsoft sniper rifle, or an electric (AEG) semi/fully automatic airsoft rifle, such as the popular airsoft M4 Rifle. This sometimes can be a tough decision to make, but it usually boils down to this: what type of airsoft scenarios will you be using the gun for, for the most part? Of course, there is also the price to consider, but generally speaking, the cost of a good airsoft sniper rifle is usually about the same as the cost of a good airsoft M4 rifle, so this really shouldn't be much of a factor.

For those who mostly compete in QCB (close quarters battle) airsoft games, then the choice is simple: get yourself a good airsoft M4 rifle (or similar - such as an airsoft M16 or an airsoft AK-47 rifle). The reason for this is because you will need the airsoft rifle to be capable of firing in fully automatic mode, which NO true airsoft sniper gun can do. Fully automatic airsoft rifles are without a doubt, the king of close quarters battles. Also, another plus to an automatic electric airsoft rifle is the fact that not only is it a fully automatic weapon, it can also be used in semi automatic mode as well, which makes it fairly good for sniping people from a fair distance away (you definitely wont get the range of a true airsoft sniper rifle though).

As far as those who like to use the art of stealth, and that like playing the sniper role (we are talking non-cqb airsoft scenarios here), then the choice is also very simple: buy yourself a true airsoft sniper rifle. The main reason that you will want a true sniper gun is because of the fact that they shoot much further than any automatic electric AEG airsoft rifle, and they are more accurate as well. Also, another thing to consider is the fact that airsoft sniper rifles are way more quiet than automatic electric airsoft rifles.

When deciding on which airsoft sniper rifle to buy, keep in mind that you will want one that is high velocity, and that comes with a decent scope. Another option that you may want to consider is getting a tri-pod for your airsoft sniper rifle, but that isn't as importing as having a good scope on it. Lastly, you may want to also purchase a sling for your sniper rifle, as this can really make carrying the gun alot easier, and will save your arms from getting tired when carrying the gun around.

Hopefully this information will help those who are debating whether they want a single shot bolt action (true) airsoft sniper rifle, or an automatic electric (AEG) airsoft Rifle, such as the extremely popular airsoft M4 machine gun. But regardless of what type of gun you choose to go with, I would highly recommend that you at least get one that is of medium quality (IE: not made completely out of plastic), and that has good velocity and accuracy.

13 Steps to Be an Expert Airsoft Sniper

A sniper is an infantry soldier who specializes in shooting from a concealed position over longer ranges than regular infantry, often with a specially designed or adapted sniper rifle. It requires skill in marksmanship, camouflage and field craft. This article is about adapting sniper techniques to make you the best airsoft sniper you can be!

1. Side arms are very important to any airsoft sniper and do not require a very substantial investment. An airsoft pistol is the perfect side arm when you get into a cornered up situation. You are in a lot of trouble if your position is compromised and you get charged by the enemy with nothing to defend you but your airsoft sniper rifle. While spring is better for a sniper rifle a side arm should be at least semi-auto. One thing to remember is to bring an adequate amount of ammunition for your side arm as well as your rifle (Usually 2-3 magazines depending on magazine capacity, especially if it is semi or fully automatic).

2. Know your rifle. Spend a good amount of time getting to know your gun, and how the shots react to wind, temperature, and different distances (make sure to understand it's maximum accurate distance). Take a while to get to know your gun and make sure to practice to stay comfortable with it.

3. Know that being an airsoft sniper is not as much action as other positions of the field. A common misconception is that airsoft snipers get the most kills, when in reality, they usually get the least. Keep in mind that you might not be racking up the kills, but you can take out important targets (take out high priority targets such as Commanders, VIPs, etc.). Know that observation and sabotage are some of an airsoft snipers main goals in the field.

4. Modify your rifle to fit your needs. There are tons of aftermarket parts for airsoft sniper rifles. The main things a sniper should consider are purchasing quality BBs (More information on selecting the right BB for your airsoft sniper), a tight bore (around 6.01), and usually a new hopup. These will ensure tight compression and maximize distance and accuracy.

5. A good scope can be a snipers best friend. Make sure you get a scope that suits your rifles needs. You don't need a hugely powerful scope for an airsoft sniper. A 3-9x40 scope is plenty of scope another good coice is a 4x32 scope (try to get a scope with adjustable parallax). Bipods are extremely helpful in assisting with accuracy and also they are great for sustaining a stable shooting position for long amounts of time. You should also learn to make rests in the field from branches, sticks and other natural features.

6. Camo is important, without it you will not be able to conceal yourself from enemies and opposing snipers nearly as effectively. A gillie suit is a great form of camo that is textured to help you blend in even further. In making a gillie suit use generic colors, brown, lighter brown, greens, and even some blacks and dark greens and browns. Wearing a light mesh top layer is great in helping you create camo as you can utilize a good variety of the sticks, leaves, and dirt from the field to make a very effective gille adapting your camo to your surroundings.

7. Buy some good ammunition. High polish BBs are important to an airsoft sniper to prevent damage as well as improve accuracy. Higher weight equals higher accuracy and lower FPS, but heavier BB's carry more kinetic energy for longer distances, check out our article on selecting the right BB for an airsoft sniper.

8. If you have the opportunity before the game to check out the field make sure to do so, the more you know about the field the more of an advantage you have. Make mental notes of good sniping positions, good observation points, where trails lead, when you will have open shots, and well covered areas for a retreat.

9. Stay low. Prone is going to be the best position for an airsoft sniper as it conceals most of your body and you blend into the surroundings better as a more natural shape.

10. Always have an escape route. Good cover and an escape route is more important than field of vision. When you find a good field position make sure to have at least two routes of escape.

11. Keep on the move. Staying stagnant will ruin your cover. Take one or two shots and then move on. Even if you don't think your position has been compromised, it may very well have been. Remember that you have a limited amount of shots you can take before you are compromised, make them count. Use surprise as best you can, move about a lot and attack from many different angles not to let them rest easy.

12. Recruit a spotter. Not only can he help you in a firefight, he can also help you spot possible targets. Weigh your options here as tt is easier for one person to move unnoticed than two, but considering your competition and terrain you should be able to make the right choice.

13. Find a way to communicate with your team, especially if you are working with another team of snipers. Whether you run radios or if you create signals based on showing colors find something that works for you. You are part of a team and part of your job as a sniper is recon.

The Art of Being An Airsoft Sniper Part I

As the sport of Airsoft continues its surge in worldwide popularity, the number of Airsoft teams and clubs continue to climb as well. These dedicated groups gather as weekend warriors at outdoor venues to participate in sophisticated war games. Dressed in military like fatigues, and armed with replica Airsoft guns, these teams engage in simulated military battles commonly referred to as the Mil-Sim (military simulation).

Of all the role players one can choose to be in these weekend battles, perhaps the most popular of all is the "Sniper". The Airsoft Sniper is often referred to as the Lone Wolf or Rouge of Airsoft. This is the gamer that wants to place himself in the perfect hidden location in order to eliminate the opposing players in a deadly ambush. Although a popular identity among Airsoft warriors, few players have mastered the skill of becoming a feared and effective "Super Sniper".

The first step in becoming a successful Super Sniper begins with having the right equipment! This begins by choosing the Sniper's most important accessory-the sniper rifle. The goal of the Sniper is to be able to shoot the enemy from long distances, therefore his rifle does not need to be fully automatic or even semi-automatic. A well built spring-action rifle is usually the choice. The spring sniper rifle must be one of the more powerful models in order to shoot from long distances with great accuracy. It is also important to keep in mind that the most powerful weapon the Sniper has is his stealth or the ability to stay hidden. The spring action sniper rifles are much quieter than the electric automatic rifles.

One of the most recommended spring sniper rifles is the Super 9 Bolt Action Airsoft sniper rifle. This great Airsoft gun is made by UHC, which is widely recognized as one of the premier manufacturers of spring guns.

Perhaps the next most important piece of equipment for the secretive Super Sniper is his riflescope. The ability to see long distances with accuracy is critical to his success. Often the original equipment scope does not fulfill this requirement and an upgrade is needed. A minimum 4x32 power scope is the desired measure.

The successful Sniper has also mastered the art of military camouflage. Without proper clothing the Sniper is doomed to failure. It is essential for him to be undetected by the opposing teams. Investing in a "ghillie" or camouflage suit is critical to maximum concealment from enemy patrols and other snipers. This suit is made from a central binding layer and loose strips of material designed to break up the shape of the human body. Super Snipers typically customize their suits by adding plant-matter or rolling in the dirt or mud in order to deaden color contrasts. With the potential for wearing this suit a long time during battles, comfort is a premium.

One of the great mistakes of the amateur sniper is running out of ammunition. As simple as this may seem, this is a common mishap due to the underestimated length of many Airsoft skirmishes. Many a sniper meets his demise as he emerges prematurely from his secret hideout at the most inopportune time in order to retrieve more pellets. You will always find the wise Super Sniper well stocked with plenty of ammo!

Understanding the role and choosing the right equipment will help the Airsoft warrior to be well on his way to becoming a Super Sniper.

Comparing Airsoft Sniper Rifles

If you want to get an airsoft sniper rifle, it is advisable that you do not immediately purchase the first one you come across. Instead, you should look at all of your options, and after you are familiar with the choices you have, you can then make a decision and complete the purchase. In this article, I will go over some of the types of sniper rifles and what they are good for.

Unlike other airsoft guns, most sniper rifles are only spring and gas. This is because electricity does not provide enough power for a high quality sniper, although there are some out there. I have personally gone up against an electric sniper rifle, and I can say that it is not that good. If you are going to get something, you might as well purchase one that is more effective, and in this case, that means it has to be spring or gas.

As you probably know, all kinds of spring airsoft guns need to be cocked before each shot. This usually gets annoying for other types of rifles, as well as pistols, but it feels more natural on a sniper because those are one-shot in real life. In addition, cocking it each time enables you to get more power than you would be able to otherwise.

However, the best kind of gun is a gas sniper rifle. This is because they are both automatic and more powerful than a spring rifle. When combined with a scope, this kind of gun is almost unstoppable. You can fire accurately multiple times a second, and if you are accurate enough, nobody will be able to escape. That is why gas airsoft sniper rifles are great buys, and with a little practice, you can become proficient with it.

Of course, the better a gun is, the more expensive it is. You could save a lot of money by purchasing a spring sniper rifle, but if you "spring" for the gas one instead, you will have a lot more fun and success in all the airsoft games you play.
