It's Automatic: Knowing the Difference Between Mini Electric Airsoft Guns and Sniper Rifles

If combatants are armed with mini electric airsoft guns, this will automatically tell the others what kind of player they will be once the game starts. Each gun has its own specialty based on its qualities, which can dictate the tasks to be given to its wielder.

Tasks are split into two, the snipers and the assault team. Both are used offensively and defensively, with different tactics on the field.

A sniper is most effective when he is concealed at a high vantage point. This gives him a clear shot of unsuspecting opponents who enter his crosshair.

The assault team is usually composed of users of automatic rifles are placed in the front lines. They are the ones who handle the dirty work of doing recon and facing the enemy head on. Their weapons are made to adapt to the rapid movements involved in the short distance between themselves and the enemy; allowing them to fire as much as they can in order to get the best chances of a hit. This will prove effective compared to using a single-shot bolt-action rifle, where reloading takes time, increasing vulnerability.

The differences between the two weapons are, as mentioned, the firing and reloading speed. Mini electric airsoft guns are considered as an automatic firearm, which means that they fire continuously while the trigger is pulled. This takes away the need for manual reloading, unlike sniper rifles.

By knowing the difference between the two, players, especially beginners, can properly execute their strategies on the field.

The Difference Between BB Guns and Airsoft BB Guns

When you talk about a ball bearing, most people think of very small metal balls, used in a ring and oiled up to facilitate a turning mechanism such as a cog or a wheel. Small metal BBs are in some cases used in some guns and these are very dangerous weapons. When we think of a BB gun however, we mostly think of a cheap plastic toy gun with small plastic balls. The reality of modern Airsoft BB Guns is somewhere in the middle. They do not shoot deadly metal BBs, but they are also not cheap plastic toy guns either. The middle of the road and better quality BB guns that are used by fans are often mostly made of metal and anything but a cheap toy. They can rage anywhere from £40 for a quality pistol, all the way up to £1300 for a high powered Airsoft sniper rifle. Most however range around £90-200 for a decent quality rifle.

The power of the BB

Essentially Airsoft guns refer to guns that fire smaller plastic BBs as opposed to metal BBs. The name "Airsoft" refers mostly to the firing mechanism. The BBs are propelled by air, either compressed from a gas canister or from an electric or spring mechanism that forces air manually through a tube. This can propel the BBs at varying speeds, depending on the quality of the gun. A high powered Airsoft sniper rifle can shoot a BB anywhere up to 500fps (foot per second). A normal Airsoft gun however ranges from 200-300fps.

Airsoft Games

The term Airsoft not only refers to guns now however, it can also refer to an activity that is becoming more and more popular in the UK. This can be played almost anywhere, indoors and outdoors at any time of day. It is similar to paintball. You get two teams and have an objective that needs to be completed by one team and stopped by the other. The rules can be anything you want; there are many templates for game styles, even a straight up death match where the last person standing wins. Where it differs from paintball however is the means of marking a target "dead". You will usually be clad in protective gear and have paper targets attached to you. When a BB hits these targets, it will leave a hole and you know you have been hit that way. There are often rules in these games such as the maximum power of Airsoft gun you are allowed to use, protective gear that must be used, the type of BB that must be used. These are usually whole day events where lots of people will turn up to participate. They are usually arranged through various Airsoft clubs and are usually open to anyone over a certain age.

Summary

One thing is for sure, Airsoft, whether the activity or genre of gun is good fun. Whatever you purchase an Airsoft BB guns for, be it simple target practice in the back garden or taking part in 100 man battles you will enjoy it.
