Airsoft Guns and What They Do

There are many people in the world that enjoy gunplay. However, with the dangers of using real firearms there is little capacity to perform mock warfare scenarios outside of extremely controlled situations in the civilian world. The various military and police forces of the world can do this but most normal citizens would face the possibility of injury or death not to mention the fines from firing off live weapons at each other.

Airsoft guns have been around for many years and have come to be one of the favorite tools of the weekend warrior. Eye protection should always be used when firing such weapons, and if metal shot is used then thick clothing or even tactical armor should be worn. The latter instance is especially true if someone chooses to wield an airsoft shotgun or full automatic weapon.

The pistols are generally single shot plastic BB's. There are metal varieties and pellets as well which can be used but many people use the plastic shot due to the lessened chance of injury. The rifles are also single shot but they have much greater force and can hit a target at a farther range. These airsoft weapons are typically used in war campaigns as sniper activity. Airsoft shotguns generally are single shot weapons that fire off three B's at a time. At close range this can hurt quite a bit, especially if using metal shot.

There are two kinds of automatic airsoft machine gun. There is the spring loaded version that performs exactly as stated. The rounds are fire off in very quick bursts via a spring mechanism. This usually requires some kind of gas canister attachment that needs to be replaced on occasion. The other version is the AER, or automatic electronic rifles. These use a motor to automatically recharge the compressed air to power the airsoft weapon. They require rechargeable batteries.
